How do i get the external audio output to work?

First make sure that your TV has an audio OUT. Most do not. If you do then you can plug into that but you will have to go into the menu on the TV under audio and turn on the external speaker feature. If you do not have an audio OUT then you will have to hook you speaker to the audio OUT of your home stereo system and hook the source output to the input of your stereo. Source being (dvd, cable box). In that case you need to turn off the internal speakers on the TV and just run it through your home stereo system.

Rca tv ..how to hook up to home speakers

Unless the set has actual audio outputs it should not be done.

The set will have a very low audio output not intended for external systems--if you hook to wrong impedance speakers volume either will not work, be very low or even damage the audio circuit in the set

Hi i have an LG 42PQ3000 i want to know if i can hook up external speakers to it as the is not setting on the menu i can find

Most new televisions will not allow to just hook up a speaker to them. You find Coaxial or optic audio outputs. These can only be hooked yup to a compatible external home theater system or soundbar. Most manufacturers today make wonderfull aftermarklet audio systems to help you enjoy the audio portion of a broadcast better. The amplifier in most new flat screens is not 10 watts, so driving an external speaker is out of the question. YOU WILL DAMAGE THE TV!

How can I hook up external speakers? I have

Go to your tv menu, and make sure that your fixed audio output is selected not variable. Variable will make not work, with the television volume is turn down. When you hook the speakers, make certain that it is on a fixed audio out, not variable, as well.

Hook up speakers to 32 inch lcd hdtv

"Line" level audio output is available at the audio output phono jacks at the top of the rear panel, but not speaker-level output. So, you'll need an amplifier to use in conjunction with your external speakers. (An alternative would be "powered" or "amplified" speakers that have their own amplifier, but often are less satisfactory acoustically). You don't necessarily need to get a full-fledged "receiver" with multiple in's & out's... I simply used an inexpensive stereo amplifier.

Connect the "Audio L - R" jacks on the rear of the set to the "line" or "aux" inputs on your chosen amplifier and speakers. If you go into the set's Menu - Option - Output Select and set it to "Variable", the internal speakers will be disabled, and you can control the volume (and muting) of the audio sent to the amplifier, and still have "armchair" control of the volume as before... but now with better stereo!

No Audio when disconnect from external amp and hook to speakers

In a radio like your Pioneer and all similar units there are always a pre-amp circuit that feeds a power amp circuit,In some players there are more than one pre-amp circiuts. It is possible and highly probable that the power amp circuit in your Pioneer is shorted, so you still get some audio output , but very little. I believe this is your problem and I suggest that you bring it to a repair shop for an estimate or replace the unit. Good luck and please rate this answer, Thanks.

Can't hear the output speakers

Make sure you have the cable hooked to output. Go into your televisions menu and set the speakers to external. That will disable the interior speakers on the television. there are actually two options. You can set it to fixed output, internal speakers off. This is best for just using the Bose speakers all the time. Or you can set it to variable output; internal speakers on. That way you can watch TV late at night and use the internal speakers and not "bother" those sleeping. Or crank up the Bose when everyone is watching! Make sure you have the Bose set to the proper input as well. Good luck!

Want to add an external speaker to TV

If you have audio out RCA jacks then you can hook up some computer speakers that have RCA jack inputs. If you don't have audio outputs and your TV has a HOT chassis then you won't be able to do it. If your tv has a switching power supply then you can install a jack to TV speakers, so they disconect when you hook up your other speakers, if you try and hook up speaker to the TV speakers then the impedence will change, and your audio output IC will get hot and short out.

Audio output not working

I had what may have been a similar problem and even talked to Westinghouse to see what I was doing wrong. Woman suggested there was a problem with the audio output port and suggested I exchange tv for another one. When the new one had the same problem, I discovered that to get audio out requires the volume to be turned way up on the tv (set speaker preference to external only if you don't want sound from tv speakers as well). If you have a digital optical connection on both the tv and the home theater, the sound output is independent from the tv setting and is easier to work with.

19 inch LCD TV

Hi, Chances the Audio L/R are line level (can not drive speakers) other than they can either be output or inputs. If they are inputs, they are connected to a source such as a DVD player or if they are outputs, connects to an external amplifier where external speakers maybe connected. hope this be of some help/idea. Post should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards.
