Question about Philips Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder

2 Answers

It won't turn on.

I have unplugged it to reset it. That hasn't worked. Could it be the fuse? If so where is it and how do I check it?

Thank you for the info. I tried this and it still didn't fix the problem. If anyone out there has a second solution to fixing the problem, it would be appreciated.

I'm having the same problem. The fuse is underneath the top panel which can be easily removed by removing all the small screws on the unit. The fuse is located towards the back of the unit just to the right of the disc casing. It's a small glass tube and is similar looking to a fuse used in christmas lights but this one is much larger. I haven't had the chance to go buy a new fuse but mine doesn't appear to be blown because there is no discoloration on the glass and the rod inside is fully intact but I am hoping it may still be bad. Once I have the chance to get a new I'll reply with any results. Anyway, hope this helps ya, naybe you can get your fixed too!

RCA DRC8335 No power

Could be a faulty power supply in the actual unit. Check inside it for a fuse on the circuit board while its unplugged could be blown. Usually power into unit is higher AC voltage (DEATH) and a transformer lowers the voltage so if you take it to a technician they should be able to measure the lower dc voltages to see if the power supply is working ok and if any fuses are blown.

Why won't theTevion dvd player turn on

1) you must test the power cord for open , of course you must shure if the outlet box is o.k put a desk lamp for to see if work.
2) the fuse inside can be blown or c.breaker tripped reset.
3)swtich power dirty, or defective, replace
4) if doesnot work, the power supply inside is defective, transformer, diode, capacitor, go to the repair shop TV FOR FIX IT.

Magnavox h2160mw9 power won't come on

I have 2 Magnavox h2160mw9 that won't turn on after power failure. I unplug, wait 15 to 30 minutes, then re-plug and the Magnavox h2160mw9 powers on by its self. I have to reset clock and any programing that was erased. Channels previously scanned remain okay. Hope this helps.

Dvd player will not power on

The power supply regulator board to your player has damaged. There is a protection fuse on the power supply regulator board. Check it first. If found blown, replace an other one of same rating. If the this fuse also blow out, as soon as you switch ON the set, make sure that, the poser board is damaged. It is best to replace it as card basis, rather than trying to make it repaired. In most cases, repaired boards found not last long. Contact the nearest LG service center to buy a new power supply card.

My electric went off yesterday and when it went back on my tv wouldnt turn on it was working fine before the power cut we have changed the fuse but still nothing is there anyway i can reset it to make it...

you said you changed the fuse. (inside the tv)double check to see if its blown agian if not. keep it unplugged for about 20 minutes to reset the surge protector onboard . if you have done all that the fuse didnt protect your tv from the surge and it gone. IF ITS CONNECTED TO A SURGE PROTECTOR unplug it from that and plug directly into the wall TRY THAT FIRST let me know if this works.
