Sony Cyber Shot DSC-H9

Hi,
The camera may display a MEMORY STICK ERROR or C:13:xx message (xx can be any random number) on the LCD screen for the following reasons:
IMPORTANT: If model-specific information is required to complete any of the steps in this solution, refer to the operating instructions supplied with the product. Manuals are available online in the Manuals/Specs/Warranty section of the Sony® eSupport Web site.
  1. Remove and re-insert the Memory Stick® media several times.
  2. The inserted Memory Stick media is not compatible with the camera. Check your instruction manual for information regarding Memory Stick media compatibility.
  3. The inserted Memory Stick media is not formatted. Format the Memory Stick media using the FORMAT option in the camera menu. WARNING: There is a risk of data loss. Formatting will erase all stored data, images, movies, etc., from the Memory Stick media.
  4. The terminals on the Memory Stick media are dirty. Remove the Memory Stick media from the camera and use a soft dry cloth or pencil eraser to clean the contacts. Make sure there are no residual particles on the Memory Stick media before re-inserting it into the camera.
  5. The data on the Memory Stick media or the Memory Stick media itself is damaged. Try using a different Memory Stick media in the camera.

Thanks
Proton

I have bought a new memory stick, I've never used one before and dont know how to use it to store and carry information correctly?

Just take a look at the back panel of your computer.
You would find 2 or more USB slots which are meant for your memory stick (we call it USB pen-drive as well).

Insert this memory stick into one of these slots. (Align the plastic side properly and it ll fit in easily).
Normally there is an LED light on the stick that glows when you connect it to the computer.

Now click on Start - (My) Computer
Or just press Windows+E

Alongwith the hard-drive & DVD-drive, you would find the Memory Stick icon there (manufacturer's name like Kingston, SanDisk etc would appear).
Double click on it to open and see whats stored inside (right now it would be blank as u v not stored anything in it)

Now you want to store something, say, a song in it,

Very simple. Just open the Music folder. Right click on your song. Click on Send To, and then click on the memory stick (removable media) name.

You can alternatively copy the song (right click on the song, click on copy), go to the memory stick drive (open My Computer, double click on stick icon), and paste the song there (again right click, click on paste).

Once the file is copied, disconnect the stick from computer.
Now your data is ready to travel with you.

Hello,
to store data on a memory stick, use instruction below.

Insert memory stick either in phone or in a card reader,
For phone, install phone software, and connect cable to both phone and PC,
Go to my computer, open memory card file,
Copy file from source and paste inside the memory stick file.
Eject when you finish transferring file.

Using Memory stick , you can use the same process.

Take care

usualy it hapen when your new card is not formated yet...
you must formated before using..

try on the mobile phone... but don't format your data will be lost... try format on computer using norton partition magic.. that program will not delete your data.. then save your data to pc or laptop using card reader... then format using windows...

Error message after installing memory ram upgrade.....

The memory appears to be the right kind.

Try installing just one 1GB module, and run the diagnostics (press F12 at boot time and select diagnostics).

Good luck!

Replace MB on Gateway M280E

Power down your tower, then unplug the power cord. Lay the tower on the side and remove the side plate (usally one main screw at the back end of the tower and then slides to the back and comes off) Located inside the tower on the mother board you will see the memory stick. At each end of the memory stick is a little plastic lever that when pushed gently away and down from the stick it will pop up that end of the stick. Repeat on the other end of the stick and then pull the stick out evenly. Take the memory with you to the store so as to get the same kind of memory and also to get the right PIN set. Remember to pay attention to what slot you pull the memory out of. Also keep in mind that you never want to mix memory sticks IE a 512 mem stick with a 256 ect. It is also adviseable to stick with the same manufacture of memory and not to mix and match brands.
