Re: child lock on tv
All you have to do is turn the TV on and turn to a channel that doesn't
prompt the V-chip password (even if it's snowy) and hold down the
volume (down -) button on the main unit while holding down the number
"0" on the remote control. It might take a few tries, and you might
need to change the TV channel for some reason but if done correctly,
either the TV will turn off, or the menu screen will pop up and ask if
you want to set the vchip password, either way you should be able to
watch your TV now! :)

Yes,ur tv does require a tv orginal remote will help u to used, but the child lock mode must have a secret codes to enter it.Can't turn tv on,must have the tv original remote to enter child lock secret codes though.Tries Goodmans website look for there 1-800.. call ask their customer service they can help to erase the child lock secrect password,if u don't know it.Try website Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.
If I remember correctly, you need to press the MENU/INDEX button on the LG remote about 3 or 4 times to open the child-lock menu, then use the LEFT or RIGHT arrows (next to "OK") to switch the child-lock to OFF.
If this doesn't work, please reply to me from within this page and I'll have a trawl through the archives to see if I can find information for this model.
you will need your original remote control and go through the menu to unlock it. find your original remote control by typing in your TV model number in the search on www.replacementremotes.com and your original remote will pop right up. very easy to use.
