Question about Dryers

Hi, my amana dryer was fixed by a technician a few days ago. I called because there was no heat but dryer did everything else. Man came diagnosed dryer with a new heating coil. He replaced. Now best is there but takes to long to dry ? I know its not heating vents to outside. They were recently cleaned ?

It is possible that the coils replaced have been with low wattage and so the heat generated can be low ,Hence the slow heat for the longer drying time. Please check the correct wattage of the coils and confirm.

Could be when he put the dryer back the vent didn't line up right or its blocked

Dryer works, but no heat.


Thermostats/thermal-fuses in back of dryer, usaully 2 of them, call a local appliance supply place, should be able to supply them. if electric 220volt, 1 side is 110v for heat otherside 110v is the motor, timer, light, ect.

My amana dryer wont put out heat. I've taken the heating element off but it doesnt look broken anywhere. I changed the fuse on the element 2 months ago because it wasn't putting out heat

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

Your heating element is going out. Mine did this a few months ago. It is an easy fix. Look up the part online.

I purchased an Amana drier a few years ago and my aunt purchased the exact drier the model #ALE331RAW It heats so hot you can not hardly touch the cloths


too hot??? thas gerenally a sign of insuffecient venting, check for arestricted and/or blocked vent. it cant release the proper amount of heat and its buildingup inhte machine

Whirlpool,gas dryer will not heat up the drum rotates


Problem could be the several components in the heating circuit but the thermal fuse is a common failure component. You will need a technician to diagnose this or learn how at repairclinic.com

3 1/2 year old Whirlpool Duet Dryer stopped heating up


it could be several things but the element could should be the last part i would check first if you are still using fuses change them both if that doesnt work call for service call a good service man stay away from major companies they are expensive i know i worked for most of them
