I keep finding my Lazer 56 off, with the code EE6. What does that mean?

This could be several things. It could be a problem with fuel flow, the high temperature limit is activated, or a problem with the flame rod. Start by checking your filter at the barrel and the strainer in the fuel sump. If you hear a ticking or thumping noise before it cuts off, you are not getting fuel to the fuel pump. Next you can clean your flame rod with some steelwool or fine sandpaper. Lastly, make sure the circulating fan is running and nothing is blocking the air to fan. You can also clean the fan blades if they are dirty.

Need to know obd code for 96 jeep cherokee it gives me a 12 55 and 56


12 just means the battery was disconnected within the last 50 start attempts from what I can find there are 2 types of codes for jeeps , system faults and input faults ,, the only 55, 56 I could locate were 55 = Right temperature door travel too small

My phillips HTS3090 system keeps saying BAD DISC


for some reason the unit is not happy with the disc have you tried running a lazer cleaner through it? although i wonder if that will work as the words bad disc does seem to mean a lazer read problem but then it can only be either a dirty lazer or the lazer is miss aligned withch means it need s a pro service .... try cleaning the laser

I have an error EE 2 on my lazer 56 toyostove Does anyone know what that means?


EE 2 means its not getting fuel, your flame sensor could be dirty, or there could be a problem with the circuit board. The heater goes thru a 3 min warm-up/purge before the pump comes on. If the pump is making a loud ticking sound then it isn't getting fuel. You should then check your filter and the strainer in the fuel sump. If the pump isn't making a noise you could check the flame rod and clean it with some steel wool. You should check to make sure the igniter is working also. After you turn your heater on the cover on the igniter will start to get warm and will get very hot before the purge is done so use caution. Hope this helps.

Getting an EE6 after relocating heater. Have fuel


EE 6 usually indicates a fuel problem. You said you just moved the heater. If the fuel pump is making a loud ticking sound it means it isn't getting any fuel. Try pressing the fuel reset located on the lower right side of the heater. There is a float in the fuel sump that can get latched up so that it will not let any fuel into the sump if the heater is moved or jarred or the sump gets too much fuel in it. You say you have fuel, do you mean in your barrel or is it coming out the fuel line behind your heater? It is possible you have an air bubble in your fuel line that you need to get out. Hope this helps.

12 is usually a power disconnect, 14 is usually a map sensor 56 I'm not sure of...likely you mis-read it and it was a 55, indicating that the code sequence has ended (nothing code)...right after which, codes repeat.

EE 6 happens for several reasons. Most likely in your case when the stove runs for a while after you turn it back on, the code is due to and over heat. The circulating fan and cover need to be spotless. If they are then the code is due to low fuel, no fuel or dirty filte on tankor stove.

Unplug unit for 30 min.
You need to findout why you still get EE2 or EE6

Hi EJAKFbanks,

I believe by your description and my 8 years experience with Toyo Stove repair that you are missing part of the firing sequence. The firing sequence for a Toyo Stove L 56 is to blink on the burner light for 7-9 minutes, then it clicks up to the medium light (amber-yellow color). The medium light blinks and that is when the fuel pump kicks on and starts to pump. If the stove ignites, the medium light will glow for a second and then drop down to the low light (green) The low light will burn for awhile and at this time you will see a blue flame in the newer heat chamber models or a red glow, and perhaps some blue flame in the older heat chamber models, then the stove will kick up to the medium light for a bit, and then to the high light. An EE6 error code will show only when the flame is extinguished after actually taking place and a burn did occur in the chamber on low. An EE6 is usually one of 2 things: 1. There is an inadequate fuel supply for the stove to maintain a low cycle burn, or the medium, or high. Each cycle consumes more fuel than the prior one. Inadequate fuel supply can be due to a restriction in the fuel line such as icing like cholesterol in a persons arteries, or a plugged sump screen, blocked fuel line or filter, too low a quantity of fuel in the tank, or a fuel line that is not all gravity feed, as in, the fuel line runs down, down, and then up a few feet to get to the Toyo. In that case, the fuel has to rely on head pressure to get to the stove. Head pressure is the atmospheric pressure pushing on the fuel in the tank to force it up against the earth's gravity forces. Solution: You can find any restriction in the line, replace the filters, clean the sump screen, put heat on the fuel line to thaw any icing blocks. 2. An EE6 can be caused by a carbon chain developing from the burner ring, flame sensor or chamber wall to any metal part in the burn chamber. A carbon chain essentially "shorts" out the ground for the unit and the Toyo will shut off on EE6. Solutions:You can bang the side of the Toyo (Old frustrated Alaskan solution) which really just jars the carbon chain loose, clean the flame sensor, clean the fuel nozzle with a straight 3 inch wire, and stick a screw driver in the igniter (red wires) hole and rattle it around real good (another old Alaskan trick). Often, those three things will get your stove running again if it is a carbon chain. The problem will likely occur again, but it will buy you some time until you can get a tune-up done. Most likely, you need a tune-up. Question: When was your last tune-up? Toyo's should be tuned up every 2 years. Tthe book says every one year, but in my experience, every two years is the best bang for the customers buck. The three year mark usually begins showing signs of metal fatigue in other parts of the burn chamber/heat exchanger system so the costs rise a little each year, unless you are a lucky Toyo owner and for some odd reason, your stove can go 3 years between cleanings without any ill effect. If you get your stove running, run it hard on High for about 2 hours to clean and burn all the carbon out. Good Luck! toyotech, North Pole, Alaska
