Remove hoover vacuum fan

I don't know what model you have but on most vacuums you need to remove the nozzle housing from the vacuum, remove the cover over the motor to gain access to the motor. Remove any screws holding the motor in. Remove the motor and take the screws out to allow access to the fan. Remove the fan, replace and put back together exactly as it was before.

How do I change the fan in my riccar vacummn?

It depends on which model you have. Most models have a fan that will never need replaced. Tandem air and Supralight models have a fan that could be damaged on older models but is unlikely on newer models as fan are now made from a flexible material. Remove the motor assembly and disassemble to get to the fan. Remove the nut from. The shaft and remove the fan. Install new fan and put back together in reverse order as it was taken apart.

I have a model 484 709 UPC 792145330547 The fan/light is close to ceiling (instalation). Their is supposed to be an "o" ring to remove the fan/light from the celling. I cannot find it!!! ...

Remove the cowl at the ceiling by removing the screws in the cowl (very close to the ceiling). Use caution in removing them as the weight of the fan may be carried by these screws. Depending on the style, though, the weight may be borne by supports beneath the cowl. Either way, this will get you access to the wiring, allowing you to change out/remove the fan. If the fan and cowl are together, and close to the ceiling, there is usually a method of hanging the assembly while the wiring connections are made during installation. Look for a hook that the screw hole will go over, supporting the fan.

Best regards,

How do you get to the fan on the generation 3 kirby

First remove the handle, next remove the screws attaching the cord, and switch trim plate. The small screw and knob on the handle pivot must be removed to remove the switch trim piece - insert a flat screwdriver into the small slot in the plastic and pop the trim off to expose the rear motor shell screws. Remove the four screws holding the upper motor shell in place to expose the fan housing screws. Remove the five screws holding the fan housing in place, noting their positions. Pry the fan housing off to expose the fan. Hold the fan in place while turning the belt pulley CLOCKWISE to remove it. If the armature turns, it must be held in place with an open end wrench (about 9mm). There are flat spots on the armature just in front of the commutator bars. Pull or pry the fan and associated washer off the armature shaft. After replacing the fan and pulley, put a bead of silicon sealant on the fan housing and replace all parts in reverse order of removing.

How to install Kirby g4 fan

It needs to be stripped completly down, if you are confident at doing this then here goes.
It has been a while for me so take your time and some of the steps may have to be completed slightly differently.
Isolate / unplug the machine from the mains
Remove the bag, handle and front roller assembly so you are left with a bare machine.
Remove the rear switch cover - 1 x screw.
remove the top aluminium cover 2 x screws at the back and 2 x screws at the front below the light.
You should now see the motor and tech drive.
Remove the tech drive, tech drive belt and rear wheels 4 x screws below the machine.
Remove the wiring to the motor noting the correct connections for putting back.
unscrew the motor 4 x screws inside (think) and two at the front below the fan aperature.
remove the motor and fan complete.
To remove the fan, note the hole through the fan shaft close to the belt position, this is for leverage when unscrewing the fan, hold the motor shaft, insert a small screw driver or punch through the shaft hole and unscrew to remove the fan.
Re-fit in reverse order.

Oreck xl 9100 how to replace the fan

Hi,
I just replaced the fan (plastic) on an XL9100. I assume you got the bottom plate off (5 screws).

Undo the single screw holding the suction housing in place.

Remove the two screws holding the motor in place and gently lift the assemble up, being careful not to stress the wires. The motor and fan assembly should now be exposed. If the nut holdling fan in place is removed, the whole fan should slide right off. If it does not, try a little WD-40 on the shaft and wiggle and move from side to side. (I slipped a small drill bit between the motor fan (motor cooling fan) to prevent the shaft from turning when you remove the nut.) Be sure you turn the nut counter-clockwise to remove it.

You should now have the fan off. Reverse the procedure to place the new fan - following the directions carefully as some assemblies need a washer and "feathered" washer on the top.

Assuming everything went well, it should work.

My 9100 sucked a magnetic bearing and trashed the metal fan to where suction was weak. The new fan works great.

Cheers

FAN

Take off the bottom plate, remove the screws for the motor and fan chamber, remove motor from fan housing, remove the nut for the fan. You may have to lock down the armature if the nut is too tight. Replace fan and reinstall motor into the fan housing and reinstall.

Eureka High filtration Commercial vacuum fan

One of 2 ways, remove the plate on the bottom, the is a clear cover covering the fan. Just unbolt the belt pulley and remove the fan. If there is no cover covering the fan, then you will have to remove the top, take out the 4 screw holding the motor and turn motor over, then you can remove the fan.
