Squealing dryer

Sounds like the drum bearings are going bad, or at the very least need lubrication. thats what your problem is.

Frigidaire dryer gallery series wont spin

Hello Hannah Kottman - Sounds like the tub is unbalanced from either a bearing/pulley suspension problem or the unit has broken something off in between the tub and outer portion of the unit. This is not a typical DIY job since the entire back panel of the unit needs to be pulled off and diagnosed. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Kenmore series 80 Gas Dryer, in back of the dryer there is a fan at the bottom that squeals when I turn the dryer on. Is this easy to replace or oil to resolve the squealing. Suggestions are...

that fan runs off the motor shaft and can be lubed with some spray lube,, be sure that its not the belt thats squealing, check it for cracks, and bare spots

There is a squealing noise when the dryer runs. The belt seems to work fine, but there is a whistling/squealing noise when the dryer is on

The drum rides on a pair of plastic glides in the front. They get thin and their bracket begins to rub the drum.
The rollers tend to get a little noisy in time. I use HVAC oil (zoom-oil from ace hardware) to lube them because it is temp resistant, won't disapate, and is non flammable.

My dryer makes a squealing sound when running. I believe it's the belt on the tensioner pulley, but I have no idea how to get to the darn thing.

There is no easy way, but its more time consuming really. I'm not familiar with your particular dryer, but you''ll need to remove the top and front casing of your dryer and remove the drum to get to the pulley. Sometimes you can get to it via a compartment on the rear of the dryer as well. Also listen to make sure the squealing isn't coming from the drum bearings on the rear of the drum.

Dryer squeals when on.

Your issue could be that the internal rollers/pulleys need lubrication ... and since your unit has been idle for sometime my guess is that the video could be correct.
The challenge is then just the time it takes to get the dryer apart and the drum out to access all the lubrication points.
Good luck on your troubleshooting

Squealing!!

the noise is coming from the drum axle bushing that allows the drum to spin on it's axle. Gain access to the rear of machine and apply some high temperature grease that is found in automotive parts stores to the bushing. run it while observing spinning drum at rear for any possible other problem where squeal can be found such as drum slides.
