SOURCE: sentry s3877 battery compartment broke

I had the same problem with my Sentry S3877. I found the exact 4-battery replacement (with snap attachment on top!) at an online electronics.retailer, but had to purchase a lot of three. I don't need the other two, so I'll sell them for just $6 each to the first two folks to contact me

Oh, by the way, once the batteries went dead, you lost your combination! When you pop the new battery compartment in, the factory default combination will be in effect. That default combination is in your user's manual. I'm currently searching frantically for mine! Gee, how could I have misplaced it ... I just had it in my hands when I purchased the safe 10 years ago !!!

Anyone know the default combo for the S3877?

SOURCE: radio station preset buttons delete after turned off

If it is an aftermarket radio then that means that the constant power wire is not connected. It has to be connected in order to keep the memory of the stations. If that does not work then contact me back and there might be a couple other things. I hope this works for you.

SOURCE: my 2000 harley davidson motorcycle wont hold a charge

Get access to the battery terminal posts, star the bike and set the meter to "Volts DC". Touch the leads to the positive and negative posts and see what the meter reads. If the voltage is between 13-15 volts then the bike is charging, if thats the case the bike is charging but your battery is hooped. Start with that and if the bike isnt charging then write back again for trouble shooting instructions.

SOURCE: replaceing the battery on a 2004 harley davidson

One of them should be red, with a plastic cover on it, and the other one black, and they should only reach the terminal they belong to, The battery should only fit one way, for the wires to reach it. So, red is hot, or +,, and black is neg, or -,,, Hope this helps.

Why is Philips Boombox not working from mains without batteries?

When you plug a cord into a two pin connector that I assume is on the side of the box, it should disconnect the batteries inside. If taking the batteries out kills the power completely with the cord still attached, then the switch on the power socket in the unit is NOT connecting the built-in power supply.

There is no dc switch as such. To operate the unit on batteries simply unplug the ac power cord.

I have seen in some cases where the rechargeable battery is part of the B+ circuitry when adapter is combined, this maybe normal for this model. But you might be able to go online to Bosch and find out more information from customer support or the technical department.

The remote for my radio/cd player won't work any longAny suggestions? The model is: jWIN JXCD3250 Classic Style CD/AM/FM

Remove the batteries, clean the battery terminals with rubbing alcohol and Q-Tips and replace the batteries with new ones, if no! I would suggest you have someone look at it, usually find bad solder connections that need touch up.

Cant get it to power up

I had exactly the same problem. Here is how I resolved it. 1. There is a reset button inside the battery compartment, in the center, between the C cells. Try pushing it with a paper clip or similar item. 2. If that doesn't work, replace the C cells. 3. If that doesn't work, try replacing the lithium backup battery. It is located between the C cells, in a compartment with an arrow. 4. I finally did all three at the same time, replacing the C cells, lithium battery, and resetting the system. The radio has worked fine for two days now. Good luck.

Won't stay running

well whenever you have you an electrical problem you always want to start with the easiest first which would be your battery. I would say if you plan on riding for a while that you really should run to sears or a home depot and get yourself a craftsman or whatever brand you make like volt/ohms meter. You battery shouldnt be under about 12.2 volts at sitting still. Ideally a harley davidson battery should be at 12.8 volts. Now when the engine is running then i would say you should be anywhere around 13 volts to about a little under 15 volts which normally sportsters run at the lower spectrum of those numbers. i would try that first to see where it leads you with. other then that it could be your starter relay which is a in your fuse box. that and if its carbed you might want to crack the handle a few times to get her going. If it starts but keeps cranking it might need new plugs or it could be the ignition system. but granted go with the cheapest first.
