You need to remove all of the dash panels first, they should be attached with screws at the bottom and should pull out at the top. you should be able to access the cd player from there to remove it. Let me know if you run into any problems and if you can post any pictures if you get stuck that would be great. Otherwise any description of any problems that you run into should be good enough if you can describe the problem well.

I will be glad to help you all of the way through the process so don't be afraid to ask if you are unsure of anything. good luck

Try slipping a thin plate like a putty knife down both sides of the radio. This releases spring clips and the radio should slide out.

The factory installed stereo has gone bonkers. I have a cd stuck in the cd player and a tape in the tape palyer. The eject buttons do nothing. It sounds like they are trying to eject but nothing happens.

a key component in side of the radio has broken. fixing this will be a pain and will cost you some money. because you have to pull out the old radio to fix it why not put in a better up to date radio. you could all so go to a junk yard and ask for a factory radio that might do the same thing.

When I put a casette tape into the tape player of my 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe double din cd tape head unit there is a message on the display that says TIGHT TAPE then the tape ejects how to correct this so...

If it does this with all of the tapes your cassette player needs to be cleaned. there might be some dust in there that is stopping it from working correctly. You can blow it out using an air compressor (NOT ON FULL) just blow it gently out so nothing gets moved from the air.

You can also use keyboard cleaner from any computer store (it is just a can of compressed air) walmart and zellers also have this for you.

If it only does it on that tape stick a pen through the round hold and wind it all the way around to the other side this should loosen the tape a bit for the player to play that tape.

the cage mechanism of the cassete is dropping causing it to shut the radio off ,only solution is to remove the radio and open case then jam the cage into the no casette position with a piece of wood or a folded up cardboard ,i think this will cure the problem

My 3 year olded put 2 dvds in the player and it s jamed, wont eject. Any suggestions?

Either try and tease it out through the slot using an old CD with a piece of double sided tape stuck to the edge.

If that does not work , then the player will have to be removed from the dashboard and the cover taken off to gain access to the jammed CDs inside

IMPORTANT : Make sure you have the security code BEFORE removing it (assuming that you radio requires a Security Code)

Here is a useful website showing how to remove different radios + CD players.

The screen will not come out and the unit will not play. The blue light comes on to switch from radio/cd/tv, etc. and the red light comes on when you push cd eject, but otherwise it will not play any

MAKE SURE YOU PRESS THE SOURCE BUTTON AS THE SCREEN WOULD NOT COME OUT FOR THE RADIO BUT WHEN PRESSED AGAIN WILL PROBABLY COME OUT FOR THE TV

Cd would not eject now wont play or eject or anything.

Start by checking all of the fuses in your car if the radio is not even powering on. If this does not work your next step is to have the unit repaired or replaced at which point the cds can by removed by taking the unit apart. You can do this yourself or take it to a best buy and have it replace with an aftermarket unit which will be much better and a lot cheaper than going back to the dealer

Casstte Player- '94 ford

I think you are saying you are using a cassette adapter to play the external iPod/PSP etc. and I presume the cassette plays regular tapes OK. The auto-reverse cassette player thinks the 'tape' is over, so reverses then ejects. You can try putting in a regular tape, change sides then eject. Try the adapter again. Hopefully the adapter will work in 'one' direction.

Radio not playing

it sounds like you didn't hook up both your power wires on your cd player. there is a red and yellow power wire. one is constant power to keep memory and the other turns on the radio when the key is turned. check to see if both are hooked up
