Question about Fun Rise Tonka Mighty Motorized Fire Truck

Open Question

Hi, I have a tonka mighty fire truck with lifting and rotating ladder, siren ( and other sounds with the push of the extinguisher ) and flashing red lights with headlights and even a dome light. My son has enjoyed it...but now for the second time, it has stopped functioning. And he hasn't been rough with it at all. When I put new batteries in the last time (after only a few days of putting new ones in) it still did not work but then did...(it was not the batteries as I put them in a radio which worked when I did). So something I did must have accidentally made it work. I cannot figure out how the " reset" switch works...or if it has any purpose at all. Thanks for any advice... Chris Thanks for any advice.

Any chance you figured out how to reset the Tonka fire truck?

SOURCE: lost Tonka part

I can't tell you how to get a replacement part (Funrise was SUPREMELY unhelpful for me, too), but we devised a solution for our broken truck.....cut a black hair elastic and thread it through the two holes of the part that would hold the fork. Tie a knot so that it sits inside the little cavity inside that part. Your kiddo can then attach the garbage can to the lifting mechanism by using the elastic--works almost as well as the fork. Hope this helps!

Only a suggestion but if the ladder up/down mechanism is a friction drive through rubber wheels then perhaps they are damp and sliding against each other. Time and warm air around the engine will cure this if that is what it is.

I need a clamshell bucket for a Tonka Mighty Crane 758

Only thing I can offer is a link to a current eBay listing for the whole thing.

The only other thing I can offer is a link to Hasbro's Parts Order form:

    http://www.hasbro.com/customer-service/orderform.cfm?sku=91046

And you can always call them to see if they can provide the part number even if they don't have tthe part.

I have a green and red tonka ricochet Rc car and the battery is fully charged and the light is on, but it won't receive commands from the controller on any channel. What is wrong?

Hi " try to check the controller's battery condition. Maybe it is too week now and not enough to send infrared signal..
, then also try to replace new battery for confirmation...just follow the correct orientation of the battery on the socket..

if the controllers is okay..then check the reciever circuit on the vehicle...try to check if there is a open connection ...like lifted wires...

    Good luck"
