My clock is constantly blinking and won't go on the right time. I unplugged it and plugged it again, it just keeps blinking.

Hello
Check the bckup batteries in the clock first. If they are weak, backup function will not work properly, and the display will blink after a mains power failure.

Auto Clock Set

You do not have to set the clock time as a

built-in automatic time set system is

equipped in this clock powered by 3V (2

X AA batteries, included). All you have to

do is to plug this clock for power and

current time will be shown automatically.

However, the batteries can also be

exhausted and we recommend that you
replace the batteries every 2-3 years

Before You Plug for Power

1. Setting Time Zone

You may slide the TIME ZONE selector at

the back of the unit to Eastern (EST),

Central (CST), Mountain (MST) or Pacific

(PST) (refer to the maps on the right).

2. Daylight Saving

You can slide the DST switch at the back

of the unit to turn on/ off in areas

observing/ not observing such time

change.

WARNING: Please avoid playing with

these buttons after entering the
Clock/Alarm set mode.

Setting Clock

1. Slide the switch /WAKE1/WAKE2/

on the top of the unit to clock position.

2. Press REV or FWD to set the clock

time. The time decrements or increments

will follow by a faster rate when you press

and hold the buttons. The ":" between

hour and minute time flashes when you

are setting the time. AM or PM icon will

also beside the time.

3. Slide the switch /WAKE1/WAKE2/

on the top of the unit to position
when finished.
OK.

I have to reset the country date time etc every time i turn my camera on, i have tried going through menu and reset but this hasn't solved the problem. Please help

There is a built in battery that can keep the time date etc. info for 20 something hrs. without any other source of power. If your camera has a charged battery, is plugged into an active USB or powered by an adapter and you shut it off and then immediately turn it back on again, what happens? If the clock needs to be reset are you sure that you have completed setting the time. After adjusting all the settings you hit set. Most likely it seems that your internal battery is bad. It should charge when the camera is being powered by the main battery. When you say every time you turn it on I'm not sure what that means. If you turn the camera off and remove the battery for more then 30 hrs. it will have to be reset. If that is the case you need to leave a fully charged battery in long enough to charge the built in battery. If the built in battery is bad you will need to find out if it can be replaced.

After a power outage, my clock no longer has right time

You need to reset the microprocessor in the Clock/Radio. to do this you must unplug the Clock/ Radio and remove the battery. Let the Clock/Radio set for at least 1 hour to discharge the microprocessor. You can then reinsert the battery and plug in the Clock/Radio. The functions should return to normal. If you are still having a problem, try changing the battery (CR2430) and letting the Clock/Radio set unplugged for a longer period of time. If all this fails, you can call Emerson customer support at this telephone number 1-800-898-9020 between the hours of 7am-5pm CT and ask them for assistance. I hope this information help you with your problem.

Need operating instructions for RCA clock radio Mod. 5430

The instruction manual will not help you, because it doesn't address this problem head on.  You're having this problem because the time changed, and the clock has an automatic setting.    As long as the batteries are in the clock and it's plugged up, it automatically computes the time. I just discovered the solution.  Unplug the clock, take out the batteries and WAIT about an hour.  Plug it back up, and the time will flash, allowing you to change the time.  You do this with the button on the top back which says wake up 1 and wake up 2.  Push that button all the way to the right to the setting that looks like a little clock, then press the forward button on the top of the clock to set the correct time.  Then put your batteries in and you're good to go!  (til the time changes again:)  Good luck!

RCA RP5420B 2Band AM/FM Clock Radio

At the top of the clock, there is four positions for the slider. The first is shown as a key, which I assume is the automatic time setting mode. The second is Wake 1, the third is Wake 2 and all the way to the right is a manual time setting mode. If you slide it all the way to the right, you can set the time, then either keep it in that mode or return it back to automatic mode. Either way, you now have the correct time displayed.
