The battery it is dead, even u plug the dvd player power in directly into the power source.Must have the battery inside and the must have some juiced left before for the dvd player to work.Tries websites like Partstore.com,Amazon.com,Ebay.com to buy a new battery or a compatible one.
If you had the player for quite some time it could be the battery. The batteries eventually get weaker and weaker and go. Like laptop. Did you notice less usage time after you charged it when it worked? If it isnt that old it could be an internal problem you may have to get checked out by manufacturer, also check if its still under warranty.
Good luck finding a direct replacement for this unit. A universal replacement can be found at many internet vendors for $30 to $50. RB-270 manufactured by INITIAL. 9.0V and 5400mA which is a great improvement over the OEM battery. Fully charged this battery should last 2 hours or more. NOTE: This is not a direct replacement and will not attach to your DVD player as the form factor is universal. It will reside next to the player during operation... a minor inconvenience. I think WALMART carries the same model.
