Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How do I load Windows XP disk into my Sylvania ultra-light netbook?

Connect a USB DVD drive or use a thumb drive (USB memory stick) that is bootable with the operating system on it. Make sure that your system (in setup) is set to recognize your DVD drive or USB stick BEFORE the hard drive.

I cant download adobe flash player onto the netbook

Hello, there's loads of help, info, and advice of the type you need, on fixya.com. Just do a search for your Sylvania G-Netbook on here and be prepared to read loads as it appears you're not alone out there with Netbook issues.
p.s. the bottom line is that you can't install flash as the Netbook isn't Intel-based. You have to run the mobile version of youtube, which I understand is available as an icon on your desktop. Windows CE itself is a version of Windows 98 specially ported to run on the processor used in your Netbook.
Also check out this link to some video reviews of the product which explain things really well.

Sony dvd recorder rdr gx7 sending disc error message

The laser readerwriter is most likely burned out, it is the most common failure. The option of repair is not really feasible as the cost of new is really low.

Cannot load Sylvania CD onto XP windows system

Hi.
You normally do not need a driver for MP3 players with XP. You should just be able to plug it in to the USB port, then wait for it to find the new hardware, then it will show as a new drive in 'My computer'

Unable to "dub" my 8mm tapes onto DVD-R using my Sylvania DV90VE

From comments posted on the Internet by other Sylvania users with a similar problem, I  learned that I had to use a 4X DVD-R (the ones I had been trying to record on were 16X). And I found that Office Depot sells the sometimes hard-to-find 4X format, so that's where I'm headed right after lunch.  Thanks.

I don't know if this will help, but according to the operator's manual I have, on page 64, the only place it mentions "Full" or "Quick" Preparation, is when using a DVD-RW disc. Apparently, with this type of disc, you must use the Full or Quick preparation INSTEAD of Finalizing after you're thru recording onto the disc.
With the DVD-R and DVD+R, all you can do is "Finalize"; With the DVD+RW, if I'm reading this correctly, NIETHER Finalization OR Preparation is required.
But with the DVD-RW, apparently ALL you can do is a "FULL" or "QUICK Preparation.
If you're only getting "Erase or "Finalize" WITH the DVD-RW, then it appears there may be a problem with the machine.
Or, if you're attempting the "FULL or QUICK" Preparation with any disc OTHER than the DVD-RW, all you should get is "erase" or Finalize", since the QUICK or FULL Preparation is not done with discs other than DVD-RWs.

Hope this helps. I'm certainly not an expert on these things....I'm a "Vinyl" type guy.

New dvd movie will not play

I rented Rush Hour 3 from blockbuster along with Woodcock and both did not play on my Sylvania DVD player. I did take them and put them on my computer and their was a page that came up INTERACTUAL
ENHANCED FEATURES
This DVD is enhanced with interactive features designed exclusively for use on a computer.
PLAY DVD with enhanced features (that prompted a download)
or PLAY DVD without enhanced features and you can play the DVD movie on your small home computer screen.
I believe that the DVD producers have added the ENHANCED FEATURES to be used on a computer and in so doing they do not work at least not on the Sylvania DVD players.

LiteOn LVC - 9016G dvd recorder Problem.

throw it in the trash- I got 1 from costco, liked it so much, bought another a week later. First one started giving me the "invalid" msg, 2nd one did the same 1 wk later, so I guess they're programmed to do so after so many hours after being plugged in. Too bad, cuz it was the easiest to use of 5 previous models I tried. Their easyguide onscreen menu was the greatest, plus the status of time, pause & recording indicator, which you could turn on or off as needed, were very useful.
A real shame to have to throw in the trash. Won't ever buy another thing from them.
