How do I adjust the oiler

As standard the 345 did not have an adjustable pump, there was an option of an adjustable pump, if it has the on, then the adjuster is a three position screw comimg up from under the crankcase below the sprocket, you will see a + and - on the edge of the tank at this point.

Unable to locate adjustment control for chain oiler model 345 husqvarna chainsaw

Not all 345 machines had an adjustable oiler, it is retro fittable if it does not, however if it hs an adjuster, the screw is located on the bottom of the saw between the cranckcase and the fuel tank, just below the sprocket, there will be an oil symbol and a - and + sign there, the pump is three position, for 13/15/18" bars.

I need the gap specs for my husqvarna 345!! between the flywheel and the magneto. also need screw adjustments on carb.

The easy way for the gap is to use a piece of sandpaper between the flywheel and coil.Turn the magnet to the coil with screws loose.Put the sandpaper in between then tighten.Pull out the paper. The adjusting screws just start with 2 full turns.Adjust the low side first. You just want it to rev quick.Just play with it till it does.Likely you will need to screw in in just a little. To adjust the high side just rev it about wide open. Then adjust till its running smoothest.Do this with the bar and chain on to get it just right.Other wise you might over rev it. Hope this helps

I have a Husqvarna 345 with a 18" bar. I worked

This machine has a geared side adjust tensinor, i woud say the gear system may have striped, remove the clutch and drum, remove the allen screw securing the silver bar protector plate, the adjuster will now just lift away complete, check its function, replace if required, check the oiler is working, hold the saw over some cardboard, rev the engine and check to see if there is a good oil spray onto the card.

Where is the bar oil adjusted from on husqvarna 345

Turn the Hus 345 chain saw upside down, you may see a little Icon of a oil droplet and a + - arrow by the chain. THe adjustment screw is not pictured in any of the standard user manuals,. but it is a small black slot headed screw over a rectangale metal tab by the chain. I believe if you turn it counter-clockwise, it will give you more oil,, It did for me. If you have the bar off, you can start the saw and see it come out the hole, that would verify your oil pump is working. Make sure the holes on the bar are clean also. running the saw at a fast idle for 1 min should oil the chain well enouth that it starts spraying off the end of the bar when you gun the engine.

There are two idle screws one high, and one low. Your high adjustment idle screw needs to be adjusted.

345 husqvarna chain saw will not run

If it idles it is not flooding out as it it most vulnerable to flooding at idle if the stalling is happening as you try to throttle it up it is likely starved for fuel. Start by changing the in tank fuel filter, and the spark plug. good chance that will solve your problem. If it does not Turn the high idle screw out in 1/8 turn increments try running the saw after each adjustment. Keep track of the amount that you turn the screw. you might have to put it back to its original position. Some times adjustment screws will vi berate out of adjustment and other times crud will cause fuel restriction opening the screw allows for a larger port for any restrictions to pass through. After you use the saw for a short time turn screw back in if it starts to stall at idle or you notice increased smoke.
