What Make and Model is it Carol? Chances are it needs a new belt. Depending on the make and model you can probably open it and check to see, and install a new one yourself.

LG dryer wont start at times and will at others. If I spin the barrell it will work on speed dry only. Any other selection and it just makes a buzzing sound.

The belt may be too loose or the motor is over loaded. In worse case you need to replace either the motor or control board.

My dryer is making a loud noise when it spins. it hangs up in ceartin spots when it spins. do you know what may be causing this.......Eric

I can't speak to your model specifically but typically dryer barrels run over nylon glides that can wear out. They're meant to be serviced and relatively easy to replace.
It may also be the main bearing which requires complete removal of the barrel - much harder but not too hard for the DIYer.

I have an indest 7kg tumble dryer the barrel has stopped spinning. it still heats up but wont spin.the barell can be turned by had but very stiff still. any ideas on what may have caused this or how to fix...

It sounds to me like the actual motor has stopped functioning. This could be due to a number of causes, but is more than likely due to wear of the conductive 'brushes' inside the motor itself.

I recommend having a qualified person come have a look.

I have a clunking noise when the drying cycle is running

I found a screw stuck between the dryer barrel where it spins around. I jiggeled the barrel enough so the screw fell out and problem solved.

Fisher and paykel clothes dryer wont turn with clothes in it.

Most dryers work with a belt around the drum. Either the belt is stretched and needs replacement or there may be a belt tensioner which needs adjustment to tighten the belt.
What is happening in your case is that the belt is slipping on the drum as it is too loose.
