This may be one of the models that comes apart--if it is on either side you will see two plastic caps--beneath are either regular bolts or L shaped ones you turn.

Most of the sets that had the feature needed the front screen removed first to do this.

If you do not see the black plastic caps (two on either side) it does not have that feature.

Get some help, two person job to remove screen.
    1) Remove front speaker grill (it pulls off)
    2) Directly behind is inspection plate, remove it--if front keyboard with buttons is in the bottom part of
the screen frame you need to follow the wires (usually two sets) and unplug them (inline plugs to
right and at top of opening with inspection plate removed)
    3) With keyboard disconnected look at bottom of screen unit---4-6 black screws to remove.
    4) Due to size screen, one person on either side.
    5) Lift up from both sides at the bottom--screen frame etc engages hooks, lift about 3-4 inches
and carefully pull entire unit out.

As far as the caps on the side go====two ways they do it, one there are L shaped bolts--you turn them
until they disengage. Second way on some models they are bolts to be removed. You will know which. The caps should just pop off with a tiny flat bladed screwdriver.

What is the easiest and safest way to move the VS-60707? Does it just lift off the base? If so how?

I`m not so sure about Mitsi`s, But usually the Chassis comes out as one complete unit so that it can be removed for service and taken away back to the workshop. The philips ones, The whole top section (Screen & Mirror) used to come away as one piece and then the whole bottom section could be taken away for service. Have a play but DON`T TOUCH THE MIRROR, it is silvered on it`s face, is EXTREMELY EXPESIVE to replace and is VERY EASY TO DAMAGE with finger prints and cloths etc.
