What to check 2004 jeep liberty no brake lights all others work

check the brake light switch on the steering colume by the firewall. you should have power to one side of the switch at all times and power on the other wire only when the brake pedal is pushed. if not the you either have a power supply problem for the wire that is to be powered up all the time that will have to be checked out(fuse). if no power when the pedal is pushed then the brake light switch is no good. if you have power when pedal is pushed then you will have to check wiring from the switch to the rear lights for a broken wire with a test light, and repair wire.

Driver window donot go up or down

Check all fuses first then pull switch and test for power at window switch. If power getting to switch, test wires going to window motor. 2 wires to motor, and depending on what way switch is pushed determines which wire will have power. Switch just reverses polarity to raise and lower, so one or the other wire should show 12 volt DC power when switch pushed. If power going to motor, double check you have good ground as well, and if so, motor is shot. You can also double check motor by connecting wires from motor to a 12-14volt cordless drill battery.

My 1990 300zx brake lights not working

The first thing to check would be to locate the brake light switch, this is located on the brake pedal bracket, follow the brake pedal up and you will see the switch, next use a test light and test for power at connector for switch,do not remove connector from switch, turn key on and test.
One wire will have power and then when pedal is pushed power should also be on next wire, if there is no power at wires then check for blown fuse. if you have power on one wire but no power on next wire with pedal pushed then replace brake switch.

Power window stuck down ford expy 03

Window.motor or switch is bad. need to pull of the inner door panel and test for power at the motor connector when the switch is being pushed. Unplug the connector @ the motor and test for power at both wires in the connector. There should be 12v on one at a time and the opposite wire will power up when the switch is toggled to the other side. Also should be a good ground measured on the opposite terminal that doesn't power up when the switch is pushed. What the switch does is alternate the power and ground depending on which way it is pushed. If those tests are good its the motor. If not its the switch.

No brake lights... Checked the fuse with multi-meter and found continuity. How would I be able to check the sending unit under the steering wheel attached to the brake pedal to see if it needs to be...

First test to see if one wire has power, there should be power on one wire or side of switch, then when pedal is pushed power should flow out of the other side of switch or power should be on other wire,if theres no power to switch then thats the problem. if power does not flow through the switch when the prdal is pushed then you have a bad switch.

No brake lights

the first thing is to check all the fuses. theen make sure power is going through the brake switch when its pushed, use a test light with key on there should be a wire with power at all at switch connector and the other wire should have power with pedal pushed if thats okay then check the bulbs, if theres no power to other wire with the pedal pushed then you have abad switch.start with these tests first.

Having issues with the power window on the rear

It sounds like switch that is at door, is not reversing polarity. Pull the switch, test for constant power when key on, to the switch. Other 2 wires will have power or are ground depending on which way switch is pushed. When pushed one way, one terminal will show 12 volt+, and when pushed the other way, the other terminal should show 12 volt+.

Power switch pushed in

Power switch is pressed and then a circuit operates in similar way as RELAY works.

But due to internal brush or transistor failures this can't retain its proper power and hence you computer doesn't look working good.

So please change it and its very cheap also...

thats easy, spray the switch at the latch on the drivers side, and open and close it a few times, that switch keeps the window from going up with the gate down and they do get sticky
