You have to check whether your CPU (Processor) support 64 bit before you can install any windows 64bit OS(Operating Systyem).
Check with the manufacturer Site first, ie if you Laptop support the 64 bit OS. Then download the any 64 bit drivers needed for the devices for your laptop before you begin your 64 bit OS installation.
If your laptop do support the 64 bit OS, best is to do a fresh installation.
