how do I reset my mitsubishi vs-4541 to the original factory settings. I do not have a manual. I just need to know how to do it.

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

Thanks, I appreciate that. I have a list of the four-digit codes, however I am missing a couple. These are the ones that I have:
The code I used to get to the place to enter these is 23595
    Hsta 137
    vsta 133
    tilt 125
    bow 124
    vwid 115
    vlin 125
    hwid
    Hciin 92
    skew 141
    vbow 131
    hsdl 118
    hsdr 176
    villu 154
    vkll 102
    vkrl 120
    vkru 141
    hklu 98
    hkll 132
    hkrl 105
    hkru 102
    da40 134
    da41
    da42
    da43
    da44
    ????
Like I said I am missing several. Also when I was listing them they first asked for "red" then a "blue" list of all of the numbers. Do you enter the same codes on the second list (blue) as you entered on the first list (red)? Please let me know if I have any codes wrong and what the ones I am missing are suppose to be. Thank you so much, hopefully this will resolve a lot of the problems I am having. The color is way off I feel like I should be wearing 3-D glasses and there is a bow in the screen top and bottom. This is what I know of so far. So keep your fingers crossed for me.

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

Both of the photos are what my television is doing. Help, how do i fix it please. The bow in my television is as though the picture is coming at you from the center or going away at the center, curve at the top and one at the bottom distorting the picture.

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

This is exactly what my television is doing. If I have already submitted this to you please disregard, for some reason it is telling me that I did not accept it. I have already responded to this. But this is just what it looks like. Please, Let me know what I need to do to fix this, my children are driving me crazy lol.Thank you so much.

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

You stated I needed to go to the factory menu, how do I get to this. I can go to the main tv menu and I tried the codes you gave me but none of them seem to pull up or reset television back to the factory settings. What do I need to do?

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

I am sorry I didnt know I gave you a rating. I think you have been great and have been extremely helpful. Someone else answered me before you posted this to me and they have not been helpful at all matter of fact they were very vague and Never responded when I told them their anwer didn't work. Please don't send me to someone else. I replied to you this morning and I thought I had told you that your pictures were exactly what was happening to my television but never received a response from you until now. If the response can be pulled let me know how to do that and I will. You should never have recieved anything unacceptable from me only my praises.

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

Are you recieving any of my commenys.. i still need your help

  • daisy13101 Sep 29, 2010

Hi, I have sent an email to the email address you gave me. Again I am sorry, I am not sure how that happened. The only menu I have been able to access is the tv main menu. It is a 1995 television.

This model like most of the Mitsubishi sets has an option menu-hidden. A four digit code number (I know them) will allow to reset set to condition it was when new in the box.

The important thing to know here is what is wrong with set?
What is it doing or not doing?

The reset is not a magic wand and will not cure some problems.

The more you tell me the better I can assist you.

You are describing a convergence problem, see attached photos of typical ones. I am online now.
None of the numbers you listed is the one for hard reset in this set anyway--four digit code.

Let me know if problem looks anything like photos--you can also take a photo and post it here for me to see.

You will be able to correct the 2 thumbs rating in one of two ways--contact Lauren@fixya.com and see if she (the community manager) can take care of it, there should also be a place on the page where this shows where you can rate the solution.

I am going to give you the information but if it is a convergence problem it will likely not help. Set has three hidden menus, tech adjust, convergence adjust, and OPTION menu: Menu, 2,3,5,8 and or enter will take you there---highlight option and hit enter button--this is a older set 1995 .....

How to reset factory defaults

I will presume you have the model listed here and have the Mitsubishi remote in working condition.

These sets have 3 hidden menus: Adjustment (stay out of that one), Convergence, and the OPTION MENU.

The option menu is the one you would want--it requires that you turn set on--enter a 4 digit number that is model specific.

In the option menu you can do a HARD reset which puts everything except convergence back to factory (that is stored in another area).

The reset puts all settings back to factory--set will come on once done on channel 3 in air band etc.

Let me know model number here is or is not correct and I will give you a link to the service manual with page number to look at---explains how to do the reset. Not a bad idea to save that manual as it contains all kinds of good info on this set.

I replaced the lamp in my Mitsubishi WD 52628 and the tv will still not come on and the lamp light still blinks

"Initialize" a "factory reset". Power on the tv, on the original remote, enter "MENU 1,2,3 ENTER". This will get you to the factory reset window. Initialize the default reset and you are fixed. Try this before ditching the set or tearing it apart. Good luck and post your results for everyone here with the blinking green timer light issue. Thanks.

How do I reset my Mitsubishi WS-65908

Model number here has 3 hidden menus--adjustment (keep out of that one) and convergence, and OPTION menu.

In the Option menu with the Mitsubishi remote you can do a hard reset of entire set--sets everything back to factory except convergence adjustments.

This requires the Mitsubishi remote and a 4 digit number code.

I am willing to give that but first would like to know WHY you wish to do that as it will not cure all problems like dead set, convergence etc.

How to reset factory settings ws 65517

If you contact Mitsubishi the set has three hidden menus---convergence adjust, circuit adjust and OPTION MENU.

Each model uses a four digit code with menu and for example 4750 and in the Option menu is the option to do the hard reset for the set---

The wipes all labels (dvd etc) and puts set back to default on all factory settings.

You might find it if you GOOGLE THE MODEL NUMBER with option menu after it...........

How do i reset my mitsubishi television model#ws-55511

First a reset may not help unless I know what your problem is.

If model listed (WS-55511) IS CORRECT: set has 3 hidden menus:

Option Menu (hard reset of all settings to factory)
Technical Menu (Adjustments for various things)
Convergence Menu for adjusting convergence.

THESE ARE NOT ACCESSED FROM CUSTOMER MENU. Each requires Mitsubishi remote and a 4 digit code .......

So, What is your issue with the set?

I have the codes but it depends on model number and what problem with set is, reset is in Option menu but will not cure all problems.

How do I get my cable box to work on my mitsubishi medallion hdtv 1080. It worked before then my service was interuppted now all the tvs in my house work except this one.

Reset the component settings. Most problems with Mitsubishi projection televisions can be resolved by resetting the television to factory settings. In the case of color inaccuracies, the TV's PerfectColor/PerfectTint capabilities can be reset by pressing the Menu button and using the right arrow key to highlight "PerfectColor." Press "Enter," then "Reset" to restore the factory settings. For issues with the audio or video of an incoming signal (DVD player or VCR), press "Menu" and use the right arrow key to highlight "Reset." This will restore the original factory settings for all incoming signals.

Reset factory settings

On most Mitsubishi's there is a button on the front panel (behind the door) that will allow a A/V reset to factory specifications.

With your particular model there are to modes of reset. The first one doesn't do a complete reset, try that one first. On the front panel behind the little door there will be a button that says: "System Reset" it's recessed to you need a pencil or a pen to push it. Push it, let the green light flash for up to a minute and then turn your set back on. If that doesn't cure your difficulties then you can use a hard reset (like rebooting your computer) by pressing the Guide Button and the Format button at the same time and it will reset itself to original default factory settings.

Mitsubushi vs4541 red, blue, green vertical lines no picture, very good sound

Try soldering the vertical output IC, sound without picture usually means vertical output is either defective or has bad solder joints. Does your on screen displays work when you press menu?
