I received the best answer from a user on craiglist to solve this issue in my case anyway, I had the same issue that is blowing cold air for 3 minutes and then blew warm air for 3 minutes and repeated the cycle. i was told to give the unit 3 feet around of space as this unit draws air in from around it and when blocked, it caused this issue. i move my unit as it was a bit crowded and works fine now

Your compressor is drawing locked rotor amps. If the unit dims and then turns off a few seconds later, your compressor is going out on the internal thermal overloads. It could be a bad start capasiter or bad winding in the compressor. If you don't know electricity, it is not something I would recomend a DIY to fix.

what exactly does your solution mean, i have same issue and mine is brand new out of the box but it sat in storage for about a year or so but it cools, then warm air after 203 minutes, another 1-3 minutes it cools again and it keep repeating the process...it is just wasting electric i think but will an a/c repair place know how to fix this issue

2014 Dometic Brisk II 15,000 unit won't cool below 88 degrees

Check the unit to see if the outdoor fan and compressor are coming on. If not, check to see if power is reaching the contactor, both the high power contacts and the low voltage solenoid. Some contactors can be manually actuated, and a quick press (with a NON CONDUCTIVE ITEM) can show you if the contactor is engaging. If the solenoid is not working, check the wiring of your thermostat. When set to cool mode, there should be voltage on the solenoid of the primary contactor, sending power to the outdoor fan motor and compressor.

If the outdoor fan and compressor engage normally, then make certain the coils are free of debris and other blockages. If air flows freely and the compressor is running, feel the tubing for temperature changes. One side should grow cooler and the other warmer.

If the compressor runs but there is no temperature change, take your unit to a certified technician to check for leaks and system pressures. Roof top units typically use R22 refrigerant not R134a automotive refrigerant, which require EPA certification for purchase and dispensing.

When running on Electric insure that the rear coils of the cooling unit are getting warm. If the refrigerator is level and the coils are warm and the refrigerator does not cool then you more then likely will require a replacement cooling unit. Just by cleaning the coils and the keeping it shutdown should not have any effect on the freon in the compressor. It is only used to cool down the coils so that the air blows over them is also made cold. Please keep it running for a while and check if the problem persists. There is a chance that the air is first cooling down the ducts in the refrigerator and then afterwards the whole inner body. That can warm down the air a bit. If the problem persists, this can be a freon issue.

Carrier air conditioner isn't cooling the house. It is blowing air, but it doesn't seem to be cool air.

Check the outdoor unit to see if it is discharging hot air out of the top ofd the unit, check the insulated suction line to make sure it is cold or sweating. Try to listen to the outdoor fan and the compressor to make sure they are both operating

I have a 2002 Dodge Ram Quad Cab 4x4. The a/c runs great as long as the truck is moving, but as soon as you come to a stop it starts blowing warm air. Please help.

Generally if the a/c works fine at highway speeds but kicks out or slowly begins to blow warmer and warmer air as the vehicle is driven at slow speeds or is stopped the a/c condensor cooling fan is usually at fault. At highway speeds there is enough air being forced through the radiator, condenser, and oil coolers to keep everything working and cool but when the vehicle is moving slowly or is parked the electric and mechanical cooling fans have to be working to pull enough air through to keep things working. If the cooling fan isn't working or can't pull enough air through the a/c condensor the system will kick out once the internal pressure reaches a certain point. Once the vehicle is moving again the system can get rid of the heat that it has gathered from the passenger cabin, the pressure drops back to normal and the system cools again. I would start by looking for a blown cooling fan fuse in the fuse panel under the hood. Usually they are 25 amps or larger and run only the cooling fan.

Airconditioner turns on and off automatically.

It is normal for an air conditioner to turn off and on automatically. This keeps it from making the room too cold. If it has a digital thermostat, set the thermostat to what temperature you want it to be in the room. If the air conditioner has a knob that says "colder", you let the air conditioner run until the room is comfortable to you and then you turn the knob very slowly toward warmer until the air conditioner turns off, and then very slowly turn it back to colder until the compressor comes back on. It's normal for a non-central air conditioner to run the entire time you have the power turned on but the compressor, which provides the cooling, will turn on and off when only when cooling is needed.

Not keeping cold enough. temp is set on high . freezer seems cold enough, but as of last night , cooler seems warmer

Clean the condenser fins under the refrigerator, also make sure the cooling fan is moving air over the condenser at a good volume. Make sure the temperature selector for the fresh foods is set properly and that air is being expelled from that opening and the opening is not blocked by something that someone may have placed there accidentally.

Sounds like you need to recharge it .. To tell while the unit is running go outsiode and feel the large insulated copper line going to the unit it should be cold to point od sweating like a can of coke you take out of the refrigerator and sit on the counter. also feel the air coming out of the unit outside it should be warmer than the outside air if not your freon is low
