The error indicates a failure in either the Hsync signal or with the mirror motor unit of the printhead. This usually requires a service call. What you can do: Make sure the printer is plugged in straight to the power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge devices or power strips even if the printer has worked on this device before. These devices can cause low amperage and may cause the printer to give false errors. Otherwise, if problem continues, contact Lexmark technical support (if printer is under warranty) or your local authorized service provider for assistance.

Printhead error message indicates that the printhead (laser scanner) unit inside the printer is not working correctly.
First step trying to fix this is to turn printer off, and back on after 10 seconds. If this won't clear it, try and plug the printer in a different power point straight into the wall. If the error does not clear, the printer will probably require service to correct the issue.

How to fix Lexmark T632 924 service Fuser error

924 is an open thermister error. The thermistor controls when power is actually applied to the heating lamp on the fuser. I used to have this problem with other Lexmark models and was able to replace the thermister itself. The thermister is located on the top cover of the fuser. If you have a real Radio Shack near you they should have them. I believe that the temperature should be around 400F.

I have an error message that says 924 service Fuser Error What does that mean?

Service Fuser Error appears when the fuser does not warm to the required temperature. For this error on this Lexmark model T632, the manual states you should power off the printer and power it back on, and if it is not plugged into a wall power point, change it to a power point mounted directly on the wall. Personally, I never got a Lexmark printer to work doing this, but this is in the manual. If this won't help, and the printer is under warranty, you should log it in with the servicing company.

If the printer is out of warranty, your next option is to change the fuser yourself which costs around $350, so I think you would be better off getting a new printer unless you find a second hand fuser on Ebay.

Print head replacement lexmark t632

You will have to remove the top cover, both side covers and the rear door and redrive to get to it. Once these covers are removed you will need to remove three screws to release the printhead and disconnect a couple of cables.

I usually have to clip a couple of zip ties and use needle nosed pliers to get the cables out.

It is do-able if you are patient.
