Please, check your IP address : type the command ipconfig. I had the same problem. I just connected a new PC to my router and then it was impossible to start Firefox. It was a conflict of IP addresses.

Firefox refuses connection with ultrasurf's proxy

Well Ultrasurf obviously does not want to work with your internet connection (like mine)

For now you need to remove Ultrasurf. Go to Tools>>Add-ons>>UltraSurf Firefox Tool>>Disable OR Uninstall.

That should at least get your internet working...

As for a working proxy, try using a "Web based proxy"

Google it.

Thanks,
Ted

No connection in IE or Firefox

first of all shut the system down ...
than start it again and when you see the memory chk start hitting the F8 key keep tapping it dont hold it down and when you see the boot optiong select the one that says safe mode with networking
you have to use the arrow keys coz mouse wont work and when selected hit enter
and than when you get the login screen and if you have the option with administrator ... hit admin
and than see if you are able to go through IE
if yes that that means the firewall is stopping the ie and the firefox from connecting to the net
so go ahead and remove the antivirus and the firewall and than restart the system and chk in the normal mode
if you still face the same issue ... that means you have a firewall still which is blocking
if you have a router reset it or disable the firewall in it
that will resolve it

Desktop problem

try downloading and installing firefox web brwoser, then use this instead of internet explorer... you may just have a bug in your internet explorer and it is so much easier to use firefox than to try and repair a faulty internet explorer.

go here for firefox :

I cannot sign out of Yahoo. The web site is VERY slow.

byoung7360:

What browser are you using? Internet Explorer? Firefox?

If IE, Click on Tools, Click on Delete Browsing History, then Click on Delete cookies... then Click Yes.

If Firefox, Click on Tools, Click on Clear Private Data, Uncheck all boxes, except Cookies, then Click Clear Private Data Now.

Yahoo (and almost all other websites) use cookies to keep track of details of your web session. One of those that Yahoo uses allows a user to stay logged in for an extended time (days?, weeks?). Once the cookies are cleared you should be able to logout. Try
this and let me know what happens. Binary Bob

There is a way to clear out web session details each time you exit out of either IE or Firefox. Lets try the above first, then we can set up a more permanent way for this to work for you. Binary Bob

When i load the IE I can see nothin at all

Ok well first we must ensure there are no "Other" problems. Download the Firefox Browser, or Opera www.mozilla.com, www.opera.com download and install and use this to check to see if it is a Browser problem of a PC problem. If there is no problem connecting with Firefox, then I suggest that you do a repair install or an Upgrade of your Internet Explorer, This will prob fix your problem.. Really don't use IE anyway use FF or Opera, another good one is Google Chrome... I love it.
