Either you have an air pocket in the cleaner,or your backup valve is bad.The backup valve is the baseball sized unit on the hose going to the cleaner.

Can any one help Singer Concerto 1 9410, wont stitch at all, not loose stitching, not knots, not loop, no nothing. Just frustrating holes in the fabric:

If it doesnt bring bottom thread to top then the hook is not catching the top thread. I assume your able to bring bottom thread to top?

Bring bottom thread to top, place sample fabric under pesser foot, lower foot, then hold both top and bottom threads in left hand and manually turn handwheel with right hand and see if will stitch.

Dropped stitch(s) implies the top thread is not being wrapped around the bobbin. The rotary hook must catch the top thread as the needle rises, pull additional thread into and around the bobbin and release the top thread. Then the takeup arm pulls the extra top thread from underneath the bobbin and sets the stitch to the selected tension.

If with no fabric it brings bottom thread to top then it's not likely a timing issue but rather an interference or tension problem. Test top thread tension... foot up is no tension, foot down is selected tension and should be noticeable by simply pulling on the top thread and note the difference between foot up vs foot down.

2040 john deere fuel guage doesnt work

The problem you explain usually has something to do with the sending unit float. Floats can absorb gas to the point where they just sink to the bottom of the tank. This can happen with both brass and plastic floats. The second thing is the sending unit you installed in your tank. Check to see if when you placed the unit in the tank , the float arm may have hung up on a baffle or some other obstruction in the tank. This would keep the sending unit from showing correctly. Good Luck Friend.

Where can I buy hi-float so that I can get party helium balloons to stay up much longer?

Try amazon. They have a 16 oz bottle for around $18.

http://www.amazon.com/Ultra-Hi-Float-Balloon-Treatment-oz/dp/B001IV3PR0

The reviews for hi-float have been a bit mixed. Some people felt that their balloons stayed up for ages and others complained it didn't really work but it's not that expensive, so it's worth a try.

I have a Bosh Logic dishwasher SGS65L12GB/04 The other day it got to 1 min left and would not stop pumping out water and continued even with the door open. After 5 mins playing around it started working...

Hi Jonathan,

Welcome to FixYa.

Your float may have got stuck or it's possible that you have water leaking into the bottom of the washer. In the bottom of the wash compartment, next to the drain you will find a plastic dome/mushroom (the float). You might need to rotate the bottom spray arm to see it.

Turn the washer on so that the pump starts to run, open the door and push down on the float. This should stop the pump running. When you let go of the float, if it rises back up on its own, then it's almost certain that you have water in the bottom of the washer. If this is the case please post back for further assistance. If the float stays down, then it may have simply got stuck.

Please try this simple test and post back with the results.

Unit will start at full choke but will not stay running with choke off, will load up on full choke and stay running around 3/4 choke

HI,
Turn off the gas and take the bowl off the carburetor.Look for water bubbles in the gas that spills away. Water will float like little balls on gas. If so drain gas tank put in new gas with some HEET added. While you have the bowl off spray up and around the bottom of the now exposed carburetor.
Pay attention to spray up the small copper tube in the center of the carb.
Clean out bowl and put it back on. Turn on your gas. Look for leaks around the replaced bowl. Good luck.

Presser foot does not snap down - it rather floats

Hi, the presser foot bar needs cleaning and oiling. Open the cover over it if you can or just go at it from the bottom. It may be best to clean it with something with kerosene such as liquid Wrench from your local hardware store or a gun barrel cleaning solvent. Then a clear sewing machine oil and exercize it good until it starts snapping down again.

I have a 1999 yamaha royal star venture. I am continually having trouble with the engine running really sluggish (loading up)at slow speeds. It will load up and die in idle and either way it squirts gas...

What's most likely happened is some foreign debris (dirt, rust, fuel varnish, etc.) has gotten stuck on the float valve seat. The first thing you should try is draining the fuel from each float bowl. Turn the fuel petcock off, then loosen the drain screw on the bottom of each float bowl and let the gasoline drain out (catch it in a clean container, if you can, so that you can see what's come out).
Usually, this is enough to clean out whatever is hanging up the float valves. Also, locate the fuel strainer, usually located in a bowl on the bottom of the petcock, and clean it. Installing an in-line fuel filter might help, too.
If this fails to improve the situation, then your next step would be to remove the carburetors and take the float bowls off. Plan on replacing each float valve and, while you're in there, take each float and shake it next to your ear, listening for any signs of liquid inside. Replace any float that has taken on fluid.
Finally, check the float levels. Basically you want the float arms to be parallel with the float bowl gasket surface, just as the little metal 'tang' makes contact - but does not depress, the spring loaded plunger on the end of the float valve. Carefully bend the tang to adjust the float level.

Water leaking from my washer

hi sir Dishwashers are usually protected from overfilling by a float switch. This switch is located in the bottom of the unit. Here's how to check and replace it:Step 1: Open the door and remove the bottom dish rack. Check to see if the float valve is stuck. If it is, clean away food debris around the float. With a screwdriver handle, lightly tap the top of the float to free it.
thanks.................rate it

Water tank level indicator sinks to the bottom when water tank is full.

Hi,

I think the float is up and down, try to take it out and turn it.

Look at the float in the other tank to see if it is same position, the rounded side should be down.

Let me know if you get it to work.

Best regards
/Mirran
