My Ps3 keeps freezing up but only on 1 game. I've already tried switching disc with the same game. Can you help?

If it's freezing with the same game it means either one or two things.

Your game data is corrupt, fix them by deleting all instances of the game under Game Data. Make sure you backup your game saves to an external usb drive just in case.

2nd possible reason is you've got a bad sector on your hard drive, if the above doesn't work then I would suggest you swap out your hard drive with a new one. 320gb drives from Best Buy for for $50 so it's a pretty cheap fix ;)

My dell latitude 620 is not accessing hard disk, giving report of 'No Boot sector'

> no Boot sector

A computer "boots" by reading the first few sectors from the diskette (or CD-ROM) or disk-drive, and then running the software that just was read, to "kick-start" the whole process of starting Windows.

Thus, "no boot sector" could mean:
* the disk could not be read at all,
* the information was read from the disk, but it was recognized as being a valid computer-program

So, it's possible that your disk-drive is "dying".
Take your computer to a computer-store, for more trouble-shooting.

I have a Whirlpool thin twin and the agitator is not spinning and makes a humming noise. I washed a small bathroom rug that created an uneven load and this is when the problem started. We removed the top...

I don't have a solution to this but I have almost the exact same problem - washed a runner bathroom rug last night, today it drains but won't spin and I'm having trouble diagnosing further or disassembling... <!-- from fixya rte -->

Power outage one evening and now the Wii wont power up

HI. I can say with out a doubt that the power sector in this unit was fried. you will need to replace this sector in the unit in order to restore proper function.

This repair can only be preformed by a qualified Nintendo service tech. i suggest contacting Nintendo for a repair ticket.

Problems with boot

the solution to your problem is format. just reformat your pc then after the completion of it, run the checkdisk ( i suspect that your hard disk has a bad sector)

to run the check disk..

1. go to start
2. look for the "run" command then click it
"run" command is a dos prompt that will allow you to key in some commands.

3. type chkdsk c: /f
Using /f will automatically fix the system and hard disk error if there is any

after that test, if the chkdsk found some bad sector in your hard disk, may i suggest that you have to buy new hard disk because using hard disk with bad sector it will face you a trouble in the future.

Game Freezes

It seems that your system is having trouble writing data to the HDD. Have you tried switching hard drives with your brother? It can be a corrupt sector or the entire disk. Try to format the disk and try again or switch your hard drive with your brother's or if you have the cash, buy a new hard drive for your ps3. Regards. Hope it helps.

PS: If you try using your brother's hard drive in your PS3 you will have to format it so I suggest you do a backup.
