> I've reset the unit.

After doing so, make a "wired" connection from the network-port on your computer to one of the LAN ports on the router.
Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD
Press Enter
Type IPCONFIG
Press Enter
Look for output like:
Default Gateway....192.168.123.456
Note: use your values, not '123.456', in the next line.
Open Internet Explorer, and enter: http://192.168.123.456
Login as 'admin'
You should now see the "config" menu.

I don't get a default gateway for either. My wired reads:
the default IP with a subnet 255.255.255.0

    The wireless reads
    169.254.200.205 subnet 255.255.0.0

    The '169.254.xxx.yyy' IP-address is a "place-holder" that Windows generates.

After the hitting ENTER following the 'CMD', type IFCONFIG /RENEW
to get a _valid_ IP-address from the router.
Again, look for that "default gateway" output.

If you're using any "firewall" software (like Norton Internet Security), disable it
    before trying that '/RENEW' command.

    Or, try restarting the computer, which also should do a '/RENEW';
maybe, N.I.S. will "allow" the response from the router, during start-up of your PC.

I want to factory reset my nortel AP 7220, how do I reset? What would be default IP after reset?

There is probably a reset button somewhere on the device, it is probably a small pinhole that you put a paper-clip into the reset.
If it has its own http web page, there is likely a reset to factory defualts option.

The ip of the computer connecting to it should not change.
On a computer connected to it, open cmd start>run then type in cmd, and type 'ipconfig'.
It will display details about your connection. Where it says 'default gateway' is the ip of the device.
You could try to put the ip in your browser and see if the device has a web page.

I want to reset using RS323 port , i forgot its ip adress

Hi

You can reset the device through RS232 port then please follow the below steps.

You need a laptop with Console port and a console cable for EOC-8610 EXT, You really dont need the IP address if you want to do it via console (RS232) interface.

1. Connect the console cable one end to EOC-8610 EXT RS232 port and other end to Laptop serial port.
2. Open Hyper terminal and select com-port option and then provide the username and password for the device management.
3. Go inside the system menu and select Reset Factory default.

Remember if u set to load the factory default settings, the device will loose its config and will boot up with factory default configuration.

Netgear access point cant open configuration page

Typically you should be using configuration software until a real IP can be setup and you either address it statically or turn on DHCP. As for the gateway and other information, on a wireless gateway, it should all be routed through the network. Also, I think you have to be wired to the WAP to access the config page, I don't believe it can be seen over the wireless connection as a security feature.

Can't connect to configure password through web address 192.168.0.50

When you reset the AP, how long did you press the reset button? To reset the AP to factory defaults, the reset button should be pressed and held for at least 15 seconds. Also, once reset, the AP should have the following settings:

IP address: 192.168.0.50
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default admin username: admin
Default admin password: <blank>

When connecting your PC, either set an IP address within the same subnet (192.168.0.51 255.255.255.0) or choose "Obtain address automatically".

I hope this helps.
