I hooked up a canon ip90 printer to my mac book and it does not print black color is ok, the printer was hooked up on a pc for years. i have cleaned the nozzels and when i check the printer does not see...

If your printer is successfully connected to your computer and printing in color you may have a printer hardware problem. You said that the printer software does not show a black cartridge? Have you changed cartridges lately, did the problem possibly start after changing the black cartridge?

Have you completely powered off the computer, including pulling the power cord from the printer to allow the printer software to reset itself.

When you clean the jets, did any black ink show on the printed test page after the cleaning?

Is it possible that you have a bad black ink cartridge or that the tab is still covering the ink jets on the black cartridge.

If none of these issues help solve the problem, you printer may need to be looked at by a qualified service technician.

Please let me know what you have done so far and I will attempt to help your further with more information.

My computer tells me that my overflow container is almost full........ yet I do not see a overflow container within my PIXma MP150 printer

Check your MP150 owners manual :)
It is called the 'Waste Ink Absorber' and is used to clean the cartridges. Cannon says to call their service department for help replacing it.

My hp all in one is printing in green. I just changed the black ink, thinking it was out, but that wasn't it. I made a copy and it will copy in black. Why is my prining green?

Your colour ink is either almost out or corrupted. First go to control panel, printers and faxes, right click on the printer, go to properties select, go to avanced settings select the help file and find the maintenance section. clean the print head, nozzels end check. If this does not work, you might have to replace the colour ink

Cartridge light blinks

Try cleaning the print head first in the software options on the printer and then lightly with a qtip and alcohol or electronics cleaner. The ink jets sometimes dry up and cause the nozzels to get plugged.

My HP Photosmart c6150 keeps shutting it's self off and then on. Then there was a message that said pump failed

Check the INK nozzels to see if they are clogged, Use a q-tip /or several to remove the ink in the nozzels, then check the ink jets where the ink makes contact with the paper, and clear them, if the printer hasnt been used in a while the nozzel could be clogged , with dry ink , not allowing the ink to flow. and causing the Pump fail to come on.

Epson Stylus C62 Error Red light wont go off

Hi victorarcas

If both lights are flashing, it means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink ("protection") counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced (see later). You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

and reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer. A copy of the service manual is available from a number of sellers - just Google "Epson C62 Service Manual". You will often find them for sale very cheaply on E-Bay.

If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back and I will provide further help.

Please rate this solution if it has helped you

sounds like your coluer jets are blocked all you need to do is clean them for this you will need a suringe and a bottle of nail varnish remover put the suringe on the top of the nozzels then slowly push suringe you can tell if there clean as it will be easer to push

RX500 EPSOM STYLUS PHOTO PRINTER Won't Print

I used some less expensive generic ink cartridges on my RX500 and had a similar experience with the black. If you're already using the Epson brand, done the head cleaning, realignment and nozzel checks, I'm not much help. Try Epson's support at their web site.
