You can try switching over to 2500 mAh Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries and you will see a difference.
Digital cameras with zoom lens need more power than what can be supplied by ordinary batteries.

What kind of charger does this Kodak Dashboard CW330 take?

The original battery pack is nothing but 2 AA batteries held together with a plastic holder, you can use regular AA rechargeable batteries and save some money. I had a similar camera with the original battery pack held together with some plastic holder, I simply substituted that battery pack with 2 regular rechargeable common batteries and camera works the same.

I got a dx4530 w/easyshare Dock II. from a friend of mine. He had been using AA batteries and it worked fine. I went to Best Buy and bought 2 Ni-MH batteries and put them in the camera. I then put the...

In the Kodak cameras of that vintage the original 3V rechargeable battery was made of 2 regular AA rechargeable batteries and a special piece of plastic that pushes some microswitch in the battery compartment. If this piece of plastic is missing, the dock would not charge the batteries. You either need the special CRV3 battery or to charge the normal AA rechargeables with a separate charger.

The M22 won't work with your 4GB SDHC card. It only works with MMC and SD cards up to 1GB in size. Having said that, if after cleaning the battery contacts and putting in new batteries, it still doesn't work, I'd toss it and get a newer camera. Giving its age and (lack of) capabilities, it just isn't worth repairing.

chrissy66 (12/10/2007)reply to this comment (by James DeRuvo - 12/12/2007)Sounds to me like your lens may have come out of alignment. Was it dropped recently? Since your camera is still under warranty, the best thing you can do is have Kodak should fix it. If your camera is out of warranty, or if Kodak refuses to repair it for free, the one thing you can try is to try resetting the camera.

Kodak is also of the opinion that lens errors also occur when you use batteries not recommended by Kodak.

I recently chatted with a kodak specialist about this issue and he recommends changing your batteries to NiMh rechargeable batteries. These are the batteries that the camera is designed to use and using other types - like alkalines, can often cause the lens error to occur. If that doesn't work, then the camera indeed does need repair.

Rechargeable Ni-MH Batteries (AA Size): These Ni-MH AA batteries last up to twice as long as alkaline batteries when used in your Digital Camera - and you can recharge them up to 1000 times in our rapid charger.

Oxy-Alkaline Digital Camera Battery (AA Size).

CRV3 Lithium Batteries: A non-rechargeable battery designed specifically for today's feature-rich cameras. This battery is the obvious choice for speed performance, and long life. It delivers faster flash recycle times and lasts up to 10% longer than our previous design!

Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Pack: Provides exceptional capacity with its 2.5 hour fast charge cycle time; can be recharged up to 1000 times in the EasyShare Camera Dock or EasyShare Rapid Charger,

I have a kodak easyshare c533 camera and it won't turn on. I tried new batteries but all it does is flash the green light. Any ways to fix this?

Green light flashed, turned red, lens would not open. Put in new rechargeable batteries, still nothing. Someone here suggested to try regular AA cheapie batteries. IT WORKED!

HP Photosmart M22, won't turn on.

There is a magnetic reed switch in front of the power switch and a small permanent piece of magnet just behind the hp logo of the slide door. Try placing a stronger piece of magnet in front of the logo and slide the door again and listen for a click when the reed switch closes. If not sound then the switch could be defective. Replace switch if necessary.

Also make sure you update the M22 camera firmware for power problem before doing any hardware repairs.

If your firmware version number is LESS than 2.02.08 (for example, 2.02.04), then you should install this updated version of firmware.

Hp photosmart m22 memory card problem

rechargeable batteries voltage actually are lower than normal batteries, but is high when freshly charged or still hot after charging. don't use newly charged or hot battery, wait at least five minutes or let the batt cools down first. some model and brand uses compatible rechargeable batt, it is different from those sold individually which i think you are using. it has special switch activator attachment have you tried to switch back to alkaline? how about formatting the card in pc? try removing then reinserting the card for several times. this will clean the card contact point in camera.
