Greetings,

Yes, this can be done, but it sounds like you may need to install drivers for your keyboard. Did it come with a CD? Common brand names of keyboard should have drivers included with your OS but some off-name brands may not.

I have the Logitech keyboard and iPad connected the blue light is flashing and I had charged the keyboard last night when I attempt to connect the blue tooth it states connection unsuccessful

The keyboard should have no problem, but you need to look at the ipad's bluetooth and have it search for the KB. The KB will only attempt to connect for a few seconds, then you need to press the seek button again, or turn off/on to restart the search.

My light from my keyboard not lighting up

Is it plugged into a USB port? If the KB is wireless, check the batteries; are they in correctly, is there a plastic insulator keeping the batteries from running down? If wireless, is the sending unit plugged into a USB port, have the two devices been synced? There could be a "seek" button on the KB and dongle so they'll locate and communicate with each other.

I need to rest password in bios

Hi,
Removing the RTC battery and leaving it uninstalled for 5 or more minutes causes all passwords and CMOS settings to be cleared. BIOS password can be removed by temporarily disconnecting/ removing the RTC/ CMOS (Coin-cell) battery from the motherboard.
Disconnect the coin-cell battery from the system board and it will reset the BIOS to its default setting and the password would be gone.
Please Refer to Page 29, 106 & 79 of the REPAIR MANUAL IBM T40 for Battery removal, keyboard removal and RTC battery removal instructions.
The Backup Battery (RTC, CMOS) is located under the keyboard. So you have to remove the keyboard to access the battery. The above Manual from IBM shows the exact method/ instructions and pictures for laptop dis-assembly for the purpose.
If you are comfortable with working inside such electronics, you can't do it yourself, or else you may seek help from local laptop service professional.

Hope it helps! Good Luck! Thanks for using Fixya!

Cannot connect my keyboard to my all-in-one IBM desktop. Does it need a specific type of keyboard? The all-in-one was given to me by a friend without the keyboard. I notice the portal where the keyboard is...

It uses a USB Keyboard or a Standard PS2... if you have a USB KB try a different USB Port, shouldnt matter which one. Also PS2 KB ports can go bad. Test with a different KB if you can. The PS2 (purple KB Port) is located on the right side front.

Seeking manual for IBM clone R RW burner

If you can remove the actual drive from the desktop, there will be a model of the particular drive listed. Then just search the manufacturer for that particular one. You should be able to find a manual there.

Error 121

121 says that the keyboard is not supported which means that the K.B. is bad. To get around this hold the code key, press & relase the "L" key type 001 rel the code key this sets the T/W to a US keyboard. You will have to do this until you replace the keyboard or repair it see my tip under WW1000.
