WE 32 bit...do you mean Internet Explorer?Did you just install Windows 7 and it has disappeared as a result?I would like some clarification as to what is going on.Either way, there should be a no cost solution to this problem. What I am thinking right now is that all you have available is 64-bit but you want 32-bit?Just comment back and I will get an autolink and reply ASAP.Good luck! sorry, my mistake IE 32 bit (internet explorer)

  • jwilley2 Sep 28, 2010

Internet explorer 32 bit has been erased from my computer. IYOGI has offered a $200 plus solution. No thanks. If I upgrade my windows 7 via the anytime upgrade option, will that restore a fully new OS, i.e. will I get a 32 bit internet explorer? Or will I still have just the 64 bit version.

  • jwilley2 Sep 30, 2010

Its not WE. Its IE (internet exporer 32 bit). My computer originally contained both versions of IE, i.e., 32 bit 1ne 64 bit. Somehow the 32 bit IE was deleted from my computer. In Windows 7 you can't reinstall IE 32 bit; IE 64 bit requires the prepossesion of IE 32 bit to download IE 32 bit. Without IE 32 bit flash player, Windows Media Plsyer 11 and many other applications do not work. My question is: If I purchase and install "Windows Anytime Upgrade" will that upgrade include a new version of IE 32.

Hi! Why not try to reinstall the Internet Explorer itself? This may work somehow. Please write back on the progress.

Please clarify, the term WE 32 bit seems new to me. Honestly I haven't come across about like WE 32 bit. Do you mean Windows Explorer 32 bit? I don't think it is, or do you mean Internet Explorer (IE) ? but this sounds not so similar with WE..

Well, simply tell me the exact description of your problem with your computer.
If you mean you Internet Explorer, I am afraid how you do access this website.. hmmm... or are you using another browser like Firefox or googlechrome?

I am sorry, I can't assume myself.
Thanks and awaiting.

Thanks for the clarification, it made me really very puzzled..:-).

First let's check whether it's been deleted or uninstalled or the shortcut has been deleted. Click start and in the "Start Search" box, type in "Internet Explorer" (without quotes)..

If it's still installed and the shortcuts or visible icons from the desktop or Start Menu has been deleted, it'll show up on on the top part of the Start menu, like once you type in "Internet Explorer" you'll see the related programs in the start menu lists box. If you can see internet explorer, click and open or right-click the icon and select "Pin to Start menu", it'll be visible in the start menu lists. Exit the start menu and again click "Start", now right click in the Internet explorer and select "Send to" and then "Desktop (shortcut)", it'll show up on the Desktop.

There are several options to reinstall and repair it, let me tell you if the above tip doesn't helpful. You can download the Internet Explorer for Windows 7 32 bit from this link (click here), open the link and click the green link "Download Now", download it and install it.

One more thing, I guess you are confused with the 32 bit and 64 bit, if the operating system is 32 bit then it IE 32 bit should be installed and if it's 64 bit then IE 64 bit should be installed. You can't install 32 bit on 64 bit platform (operating system).

Another simpler method, if you run a windows update, it'll automatically update the required applications including the Internet Explorer if it's not already installed.

I am still confused with your Flash player, please let me know how you tried to install it. Adobe Flash Player is readily available in the Adobe official website and once the download page is opened with the current internet browser, then it'll help you update it. Simply open this link (click here) and download it, if it's already install on the running Browser, then it'll show the message that it's already installed.

If you need further help, let me know.

    Good luck.

    Thanks for using FixYa.

I thought this problem has been fixed. As per your last post, I would add a sentence. If you upgrade the windows instead or fresh install, it'll not be restored. It'll only upgrade the database and files.

The only thing you can do to make it as it was is Fresh Install. If I am right, you have Windows 7 64 bit installed on your computer, but there must be some issues with the registries or with other components, flash player should be upgradable on Windows 64 bit and it is.

Hi tanis59
You are probably using Windows 7 64 bit . IE 64 bit is not yet ready to integrate Flash Player 10.1 and you need to use IE 32 bit . You will find it here : Start / All Prgrams / Internet Explorer . Select IE and not IE 64 bit . It will download and install Flash Player on your machine .

How to download adobe flash for windw vista free

Download the latest and greatest version of the Adobe Flash Player. After it finishes installing, you go to a site featuring Flash content and are greeted with a message notifying you that you need to install Flash Player, but didn't you just do that? To properly update your Flash Player, you need to run the installation as Administrator. Follow these steps to properly install Adobe Flash Player:

For Vista (32 bit):

1. Open Computer.

2. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\.

3. Scroll down and open the Macromed directory.

4. Open the Flash directory.

5. Right-click FlashUtil9b.

6. Select Run as Administrator.

7. When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue.

8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard.

For Vista (64 bit):

1. Open Computer.

2. Navigate to C:\Windows\SysWOW64\.

3. Scroll down and open the Macromed directory.

4. Open the Flash directory.

5. Right-click FlashUtil9b.

6. Select Run as Administrator.

7. When the UAC prompt appears, select Continue.

8. Follow the Flash Player installation wizard.

Once the wizard completes, Flash Player has been properly installed and will now function properly.

Where can I take my computer to get Flash player installed for Windows 7 ? I have tried and had a computer man try and I still cannot see videos.

I don't think you need to take it anywhere as the problem is due to Adobe not releasing a 64-bit version of Flash so in the mean time you'll have to use the 32-bit version of Flash with the 32-bit version Internet Explorer that comes pre-loaded with the 64-bit version of Windows 7. Adobe has said that a Flash plugin for 64-bit browsers will be available in the next major version after 10.1 (presumably 11). Hope that makes sense but shout if you need further clarification.

I play a game on facebook, and every time I go into the game, a screen says my plugin has crashed. What do I do to fix it?

Depend on your OS. If is Windows IE, some issues has found on this.

Try this :
our version of Windows is either a 32-bit operating system or a 64-bit operating system. A 64-bit operating system can run both 32-bit applications and 64-bit applications.Your browser, such as Internet Explorer, is either a 32-bit application or a 64-bit application. Flash Player works only with a browser that is a 32-bit application. On a 32-bit operating system, your browser is always a 32-bit application. However, on a 64-bit operating system, your browser is either a 32-bit application or a 64-bit application. Make sure you are using a 32-bit browser by following these instructions:

Windows with Internet Explorer
To make sure you are using a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer, follow these steps:
  1. In Internet Explorer's Help menu, select Help > About Internet Explorer. (In some versions of Internet Explorer, select the question mark in the upper right corner to select About Internet Explorer).

    ieversion2.gif
  2. If you do not see the words "64-bit Edition" next to the version number, you are running a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer. Continue to Determine the Flash Player version you installed, if any.
  3. If you do see the words "64-bit Edition", go to Flash Player on 64-bit operating systems (TechNote 6b3af6c9) to continue troubleshooting your Flash Player installation.
Windows with other browsers, such as Firefox, Google Chrome, or Opera
No official 64-bit version of these browsers is currently available on 64-bit Windows operating systems. Therefore, unless you are using a test version of a browser (not typical), your browser is a 32-bit application, and therefore, works with Flash Player. Continue to Determine the Flash Player version you installed, if any.

2. Determine the Flash Player version you installed, if any

Before you troubleshoot Flash Player installation, determine the version of Flash Player you have installed, if any. You can see if it is working and whether it is the latest version available for your operating system. Follow these steps:
  1. Go to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about. If you have already successfully installed Flash Player, the page displays the Adobe Flash Player version as shown in the following image:
    flasht23.jpg
Note: The version number in this example might be different than the version you have installed.

If you have not successfully installed Flash Player, you will not see the image.
  1. The same page http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about has a table that shows the latest Flash Player version available for your operating system (for example, Windows or Macintosh) and your browser (for example, Internet Explorer or Firefox). If the version information shown in step 1 does not match the latest version shown in the table, upgrade to the latest version. To upgrade, continue to Uninstall previous versions of Flash Player.
Note:Internet Explorer uses a different Flash Player than other browsers such as Firefox or Google Chrome. Therefore, if you sometimes use Internet Explorer and sometimes use another browser, you might have installed a different version of Flash Player for Internet Explorer than for other browsers.
red-line-22.png
3. Uninstall previous versions of Flash Player

Before you install Flash Player for any Windows browser, uninstall all previous Flash Player versions and restart your computer. Follow these steps:
  1. Uninstall all previous Flash Player versions and restart your computer. For Flash Player uninstall instructions, see Uninstall Flash Player (TechNote tn_14157).
  2. Restart your computer after uninstalling.
  3. If you are using Internet Explorer, continue to Verify Internet Explorer security and ActiveX settings. Otherwise, continue to Download and install Adobe Flash Player.

red-line-23.png
4. Verify Internet Explorer security and ActiveX settings (skip for other browsers)

Make sure that Internet Explorer security default level is set to Medium. This level allows viewing ActiveX controls, such as Flash Player. To set browser security to Medium, perform the following steps:
  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select Trusted Sites zone.
  5. Select the Default Level button. (If the Default Level button is dimmed, continue to the next step).
  6. Move the slider until the security level is Medium.
  7. Select Apply.
  8. Select the Internet zone.
  9. Repeat steps 5 - 7. When done, select OK.

There isn't a 64-bit version of Flash Player (at least not yet).
While IE8 64-bit is your default browser, Flash content should open in IE8 32-bit.

Flash does work on Windows 7 64 bit, it just runs in 32 bit mode. Try using a 32bit version of the browser you use and installing flash there. Also make sure you are installing the latest version of the authentic adobe flash from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

AutoCAD 2004 and Windows 7 are NOT compatible. You will need to upgrade to AutoCAD 2010 either 32-bit or 64-bit. Even with the upgrade, there are known limitation issues.
