Question about NEC Lavie MX2 Notebook

1 Answer

Power I bought this from a Japanese supplier when it first came out. The notebook has been sitting idle in an air conditioned environment for several years. Today I tried charging the battery via an automobile charger and the orange light over the battery symbol is still lit. This model has mostly Japanese characters on the keyboard and there is no clear indicator of the power on button. My question is whether this is worth fixing or even where it could be fixed. I do not have the original power charger or the operating manual. Can you Help. Thanks. Bill Biggs Miami, Fl

I have hp pavilion dv3655ee sometime hang and locks every things, only i should power off with power bottom. i have windows 7 home. and bitdefender total security 2010.

Sounds like an overheat condition. This is common, especially if you have pets or a dusty environment. You'll need a can of compressed air and most likely you'll need to open the machine up to remove the gathered dust and pet hair. Use the compressed air to blow the dust out of the case and clear the cooling fans.

IBM -t21 does not boot (all the time)

I am wondering about the environment in which you normally use this unit, which is heat sensitive, and
which, after it cools off a bit will work as you say after it is allowed to dissipate heat after use.

Make sure the space in which it used is not overheated and preferably air-conditioned. Try to maintain
room temperature of 68 degrees Fahrenheit or lower down to a minimum of 40 degrees.

ACER 5735Z .... does not start at the 1st press of power button

definately ur power button is faulty bcoz sometimes this happens when some liquid or moisture reaches the digital contacts of the button it is also bcoz of air conditioning environment please try this if u have hair dryer in ur house just switch it on the normal speed and low heat settings and point it towards the round switch on button in the centre this hot air will pass thru the holes and might help in drying the moisture

pls turn off ur notebook b4 doing it

see if it helps and pls dont forgett to rate me FIXYA if it

Acer aspire one hibernates while idle

Go to your control panel in windows and go to the power options. In there you can adjust the amount of time it will sit idle til it hibernates.

Pc will not turn on

I would be willing to bet your Power Supply has failed. A new supply should cost you less than 80 dollars and take no more than 15 minutes to install. Take out your old supply and take it to a Computer Shop to make sure you get the right style.

My notebook restarts during graphics intensive games

It is a thermal problem. Try upgrading your internal fans & if possible install a graphics card cooler. Hope this helps.
