Pressed the sleep button..how do I get it to w"wake-up?"

Is there an actual button on your keyboard that is the sleep button? Or did you put it to sleep within Windows?
If you pressed the sleep button on your keyboard, you should be able to press that button again, and it should wake up. If you pressed it within Windows, then pressing any key should wake it up.
If neither of those works, then sometimes you need to press the power button. Don't hold it down, just press it, and your computer should wake up.
Hope this helps!
Thanks for using FixYa.

How to restart my computer after sleep mode

Your Logitech cordless desktop MX 5500 will have a sleep mode button which when pressed, the system should start sensing the keyboard activity. In case if this is not happening, the hardware is failing to sense the port where Cordless Desktop is attached. Try to check if you have the apt driver installed and if the desktop supports this function from a cordless desktop. Is this product a branded one ? If yes, please check if then its better to consult the manufacturers help line with out trying for more options.

I put my laptop in the sleep mode as a requirement for using "Magic Jack" and have using the power switch to go out of sleep mode and activate Vista. I read this could cause problems later but don't know...

Hi,

On most computers, you can resume working by pressing your computer's power button. However, not all computers are the same. You might be able to wake your computer by pressing any key on the keyboard, clicking a mouse button, or opening the lid on a laptop.

It just need an interruption to wake from the sleep mode so its perfectly ok to do so by any key or by the power key....

For any further guidelines give a comment...

I am running a model 1045 on VISTA. The sleep key puts my computer to sleep but what key wakes it up?

Hi there,

Normally when you put your computer to sleep with your keyboard you only have to press a key on the keyboard to wake the computer again.
I normally use my spacebar to wake my pc but any key should work fine.

Kind regards!!!

I pressed the sleep button on my logitech S510 cordless keyboard and nothing will wake the computer. Not even restarting it. once it reboots it goes into sleep mode.

shut down and unplug the keyboard transmitter from the pc. now remove any batteries from the keyboard and depress several keys insuring the drainage of any stored voltage. reboot pc without the keyboard and then if haulted by error or after booting to windows shut it down, replace the batteries in the keyboard the plud in the keyboard transmitter and restart making sure all components are connected properly. this should rest the keyboard and the system as well.

Logitech MX-3000 wireless keyboard not working.

Hi There,

I had exactly the same problem as this, and was able to solve it by turning off "secure mode" on the keyboard (which stopped it encrypting all the keystrokes) by taking the following steps:

1) Press Ctrl + Alt +F12
2) Press connect button on the receiver
3) Press connect button on the keyboard
4) Press escape key
See this post on the logitech forums for details:

Hope this works as well for you as it did for me!

Keyboard crescent key

the crescent key is called a sleep key. The Sleep key is used to put the computer into ACPI state G1 Sleeping from ACPI state G0 Working. The Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) specification is an open industry standard first released in December 1996 developed by HP, Intel, Microsoft, Phoenix and Toshiba that defines common interfaces for hardware recognition, motherboard and device configuration and power management. According to its specification[1], "ACPI is the key element in Operating System-directed configuration and Power Management (OSPM)". try wikipedia.org to find out about g1 nd g0 hope this helped
