Question about Vivitar ViviCam 5100 Digital Camera
Ive had this camera for about a year, and its been great, its traveled to chicago and back 3 times, and suffered alot of abuse, and still worked after ward. Now suddenly when i try to take a picture it acts like it takes it but the screen never turns back on, and when i try to take a video, the screen comes up with a big red box that says FRAME NUMBER FULL. yet i only have 30 pics on a card that can hold 300.
Can anyone be of any help??
You mentioned that the camera has had a lot of abuse. I assume that means you did not take a lot of care with the camera.
Remember that a digital camera is very delicate. It will not stand under abuse very long.
Treat your digital camera like you are dealing with eggs, and it will last. Of course things do happen, it is mechanical, and things do burn out, and wear.
If you would use the wrist strap to hold the camera, the chance of dropping a camera is lessened. Putting it in a padded case will indeed help to preserve the delicate parts.
If you want to toss the camera in a box, and treat it with very little care, then maybe you should use a cheap camera.
