SOURCE: Toshiba TV fails to recognize HDMI input

If the tv does all those symptoms but after some seconds the tv works and stays doing the job. THen the tv has a slow microprocessor to recognice the different resolutions or video inputs.

But if the tv cannot do anything and stay aout of signal forever. send the tv to the waranty. (no waranty? you have to use the component input instead to have digital signal reproduced

How to connect tv to internet for netflix

First, I am assuming that you have the internet connected at your house and I am assuming that you have a wireless access point or a router with Ethernet connections on it. If you do not have these, then you cannot connect to the internet. On most smart TV's they have a "settings" or similarly named menu item, where you can connect to your home wireless system. Select this and then scroll down the menu until you fine something that says internet or wireless or even quick setup. From there you just select wireless, type in your access password and it should work. All this will be explained in the owners manual for your smart TV.

\I wish to start up Netflix on my TV

Do you own a smart tv or a streaming device like a Ruko, a blu-ray player with streaming capabilities, or a xbox or other gaming console with streaming feature?... Also you need high speed internet with a downstream speed of 15Mbps or greater for streaming video in HD, an updated modem and a and very fast router running at least 300Mbps or greater. IMO. This works for me.

Loading continues through out movie

This will simply be down to your internet speed probably not the fault of the tv. if the tv connects to the internet through wifi make sure it can get a good strong signal, if posible hardwire the network connection using a lan cable. your current download speed can be determined using a pc and opening a web site like whatsmyspeed.co.uk, you need ideally at leat 4mbps download speed to be able to stream films

Help me see my Netflix on my TV

Acquire a streaming internet player at a retail store or online. Streaming internet players allow you to stream movies and tv shows from Netflix, videos from YouTube, and music from Pandora, among other options. Different streaming internet players include, but are not limited to:
  • Apple TV
  • Roku
  • Boxee
  • Sony Streaming Player
Plug the player into its outlet. Power it up in order to hook it up with your TV and get it connected to the internet.
Connect your streaming internet player to your TV. There are several different ways to do this:
  • Connect with an HDMI cable. If you have an HDTV, you'll probably want to make use of that sparkling resolution by purchasing an HDMI cable and hooking the cable both into your player and the back of the TV.
  • Connect with a standard A/V cable if you don't have HDTV. Match up the yellow/red/white ports on the back of your TV to the video and audio cables.
Connect to your network. After turning on your streaming internet player, you'll want to connect to the internet. Most streaming internet players nowadays come with wireless internet setup, meaning you don't have to go through the hassle of plugging cables in everywhere in order to get a signal. Simply type in your internet name and password into the guided setup when you turn on your device.
  • If you don't have wireless internet capabilities, you're going to most likely connect one end of an Ethernet cable into the back of your streaming internet player, and the other end into an open Ethernet port on your router.
Finalize your setup. You've got power to your streaming player, you've got it connected to your TV, and you have internet. Consider a few other options before you start watching Netflix from the pleasure of your couch instead of your PC screen.
  • Download any of the latest software offered by the streaming internet player. This could help expedite things and offer cool perks.
  • Choose your video output resolution. Especially helpful for HD nuts.
  • Consider linking the player to your online account, if possible. Some players will use social media to share what you watch with your friends, as well as offering suggestions based on what your friends are watching.

I bought model no. TC-L32C3 recently and want to be able to connect to the internet to stream netflix. I have a cable modem and a router setup in a different room. How can I do this?

Hello markkaufman,

Welcome, and thank you for using FixYa!

To answer your question: I do not see that this TV, of itself, has the connection for Network Cableing (Ethernet) for a networking medium. Nor do I read anything about a WiFi feature within the TV. Short of connecting this TV to another Surround Sound System/Wii/PS3/XBox 360; I do not see any Internet and Netflix streaming in this TV's future.
I have my 47" Samsung connected to our Wii and prefer the browser in that to any TV browser. The TV browsers tend to be perpriatary to the Manufactures ideas of what sites to include.
The Wii can use Opera browser and handle most sites like MSN, YouTube!, Hulu, etc.

Have a great evening!

LG 42LK530T connect to internet via an ethernet cable

Hello pjd 28,

not too sure what the issue is but if your having problems connecting to the internet via ethernet, there is a few things you need to know. It all depends on what your tv functions. Also if your computer is DLNA compatablie, then you can stream videos on to your tv. You cannot just surf the web like you do on you computer. TV's like samsung 7000 series has this option. If your tv has applications such as youtube, then you can connect your ethernet to your modem. It should connect automatically, but if it doesn't then go to network settings on your tv through the menu on your remote and see if it says that it is connected to your network SSID. Good luck.

Linksys Wireless WRT54G vs. WET54G

For what it is worth, I fhave found streaming video does not function well using a wireless connection. The options of multipale routers will work as long as you configure them as to not have conflicting IP address assignment's via DHCP, and the routers do not have matching IP address's. Never fear all is possible with paticence. BPCS
