We have a Bosch Gas Tankless Hot water heater Model AQ250. We keep having to push the reset button. Sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't. The pilot is on, I can see the Furness ignite but the fan shuts off so the machine turns off and flashs AC or EC. As I said earlier it does work fine sometimes and other time nothing. Help!

SOURCE: Bosch 125 Tankless Water Heater - Water not hot enough

Sounds more like the venturi in the watervalve of the tankless water heater is clogged. I would recommed rebuilding it and paying close attention to properly relubing the pushrod and cleaning the venturi.

SOURCE: no hot water, pilot light lights but no burner ignition

Thermo coupler may be defective. it controls the main gas valve by closing main if pilot is out. make sure thermo coupler bulb is positioned over and near tip of pilot flame, but not in the flame. Thermo couplers are inexpensive and easy to change out.

SOURCE: The Pilot burner flame is large & yellow

the pilot is getting too much air and is an indicaiot of dirty or air/ fuel ratio imbalance. The pilot is wimpy and the thermocoupler has alot to do with the gas . Make sure your thermocoupler is on the tip of the flame. You may end up replacing it. because it is showing signs of eminnt failure. When it fals your curners won't fire up. Good luck.

I have a Bosch GWH 425 HNO propane Tankless Water Heater which began intermittently exploding when demand for hot water occurs.

Call a qualified service tech immediately.
Gas explosion indicates dirty combustion parts, and gas is not fully igniting when tankless turns on the gas. So gas builds up and then explodes causing serious damage to tankless, and serious risk to homeowner.

Before installing tankless water heater, read the service manuals and product manual to make sure you have testing skills and equipment needed to repair tankless gas water heater, and that you are prepared to buy expensive parts when needed and do the recommended yearly and monthly maintenance as outlined in manual.
Also check that area has qualified service technician, and that person carries parts on-hand, and is certified for your model number. Keep Tankless manufacturer contact information on-hand, and be skeptical of promises of unlimited hot water, and effortless long-lasting water heating, and saving money. The only folks saying this are the folks selling the product, and not their customers.

We have a bosch tankless water heater in a 1600 sq ft home...it works great except in one faucet (the spare bathroom sink)...sometimes the hot water comes out, sometimes it doesnt, sometimes it takes...

Since you have hot water at all the other fixtures, the problem lies in the sink, not the water heater. It could be that the sink is farther away from the water heater than the other fixtures. It would take longer to get hot water.

Our Bosch tankless hot water heater keeps shutting off. We have been having to reset it more and more. And now it shows 130 on it, but the water comes out cold.

Have a Bosch Service Provider inspect the installation. You can locate one at boschhotwater.com or Protankless.com. It sounds like a very poor installation with poor combustion air and poor gas piping.
