The problem with you Prjector is most likely the bulb. Here is a good guide on how to change out the lamp on your projector:
I also suggest reading about the counterfeit lamps and buying the original lamp as recommended by the above link. You may find yourself troubleshooting further for no reason simply by buying an aftermarket replacement.

I'm not where I can consult my tech notes but you can try resetting the lamp hours and the dust filter hours and can also check your lamp by removing it and looking straight into it to see if any visible cracks or bubbles are in the reflector. That would indicate a bad lamp. Oh yeah-- make sure the grill covering the dust filter is seated properly and there is a little "eye" sensor that detects whether the grill is present so make sure it is clean or it could send false signals.
