Why does the water temp delivered from two Visu-temp valves in back to back bathrooms turn lukewarm after about 4 minutes.

personally I would change the temp setting to hotter water .isn't that why we have a cold water valve also to mix you will use less hot in the long run

check the inlet tubes in the water heater suspect you will find it broke near the top of tank

We just installed a hot water heater that's

1) Test elements, and if elements are good, then replace both thermostats.
Takes about 20 minutes. Power is off.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-test-water-heater-element.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-thermostat-on-electric-water-heater.html

2) Label on side of water heater shows volts and watts.
For 4500 watt elements, you need 30 amp breaker and 10 gauge wire.
Move water heater wires to different same-size breaker.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html

3) Open the links and do the work, or call plumber to do work, or call manufacturer for warranty coverage.
If your wire and breaker are problematic, then service is not free.

Hansgrohe shower thermostat: water is getting only Lukewarm. Hot water ok in sink and throughout rest of house.

The first thing to try is cleaning the filter screens on the thermostatic cartridge. Hansgrohe thermostat valves have filter screens to protect the element from debris or water deposits. If they begin to get clogged the valve will have a hard time regulating temperature.

Lukewarm water...tank empty...how do I fill it if it is supposed to fill automatically from an outside line?

It looks like this brewer has a fill lid on top. If you remove the screw on the lid you can remove it and pour cold water through (1/2 gallon per pot). If the brewer was energized and NOT filled with water before hand there is a good chance that the heating element burned up. The reason you would still get "lukewarm" water is due to the keep warm heater around the tank. It is a low voltage warmer that keeps the reservoir warm without the main heating element kicking in.

Shooting out hot steamy water at intervals.

Hi,
You have a bad thermostat...most likely the top one, but it could be the bottom one... if it is the bottom one replace the top one also as it should be kicking the reset button and is not...

The way to tell which one it is, will be to test the elements to see which one is stuck on... it will be the one with the power still going to it... it is not shuttind down on temperature like it should...

Water is lukewarm. Not hot! Two year old tank, 220 amp is present. Both sides of relay have 220.

Make sure you have power going to elements from thermostats. check lines going to elements.

Luke warm water is the result of an element gone bad most of the time. One at th etop gone will cause you to get just luke warm water and one at the bottom gone will give you real hot and then cold.

The elements are not to exspensive so if it has two you might as well replace both of them. If you just put 1 new one in it will work the old one till it goes.

Cut power off and cut water off to water heater and drain heater, open hot side on any faucet to help it drain. once drained remove element they have a tube type socket at hardware stores for the removal of it.

Put elements in and fill water heater till all air is out of lines before turning power back on. make sure water is flowing out of all faucets before turning power onto water heater.

The reason being is the elements has to be in water not open air in tank or it will blow new ones.

A burning smell and steamy smoke come out when we open the door.

Normally, the last part of any cycle involves using the heater element inside, and at the bottom of, the dishwasher to give dishes a final hot rinse. Possibly some small plastic-type material has become melted and stuck to the element - which will remain hot even after all water is discharged. Hence the smell.
