Question about Kenmore Elite HE4 Electric Dryer
Okay...thank you for the feedback. This repair will be much easier if you remove the door from the dryer. Just loosen the screws on the hinge where it connects to the dryer door opening. That is...remove the door with the hinge still attached. CAUTION: Make sure you support the weight of the door as you loosen or tighten the door hinge. Lay the door face down on a soft surface like some towels. Locate the screws on the door interior. There are a series of them that go around the perimeter of the door. Removing these screws will enable you to disassemble the entire door. The interior door facing will come off, allowing access to all the remaining parts. Just make sure you remember how they come apart. If you get confused, you can go to searspartsdirect.com. Type in your model number and locate the "Door Parts" heading on the next page. There should be an illustration on how the door is assembled. I hope this helps you. If you need further assistance, please post back and let me know.
