It's no problem at all to get them back. Just don't take any more pictures with the card as you might write over some of your unrecovered pictures. Please see this post for several free (no kidding) software that you can download. These programs will recover your pictures, documents, etc from both your card. If you desire, they'll also recover deleted files from your computer too. When working with your card, you'll need to use a card reader with these programs, as they won't read directly from the camera:

Oops I'm running Win7 home and have a Canon A540 which I deleted my pics by accident how do I get them back? thank you thank you Dan

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

Formatted the camera and lost all my pics....is there any way to recover them?

It depends whether you did a "low level" format or not. Take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. Here's some freeware photo recovery software that should be what you're looking for. I recommend the listed "PC Inspector Smart Recovery" using it in "Intensive" mode (Look in file menu/settings):

You will need to use a flash card reader with this software. If you don't have one, get one, they're cheap:

Well, no matter you photos in Canon camera got deleted, formatted by accident or became inaccessible due to camera memory card errors. Chances of recovery is possible as long as you take the right action.

Take a try of this software to recover Canon photos, Not only general photo formats, but Canon RAW photo formats (.cr2 or .crw) can be retrieved easily.

Note: before the photos are recovered, Never should you attempt to take more photos or save more data to the memory card in case chances of photo recovery might be reduced. Hope it helps. Regards.
