It could be that your mic is clogged up or dirty, or that you have a loose or broken wire. No way to know. If you try to clean the mic with a damp cloth, do not run it under water. Surgery drinks will leave crystals in the mic, which do not allow sound through. If it still won't work you may need to replace the headset.

Good luck from Headsets Direct!

Why cant i talk or hear any body on my mic?

Since it is Bluetooth, you have to pair the Bluetooth to your host computer or device. Find the correct window or screen and put it into discover mode, do the same with the headset. RTFM

Folks can't hear me when I talk on my blackberry bold but I can hear them. This as only started since I connected with my bluetooth device. Any suggestions? The phone is only 3 months old

This could be caused by a software error in which the phone still thinks the bluetooth is still connected and is still being used as a microphone you can try a couple things here: 1. go to your bluetooth device list on your phone and delete the device 2. try to connect and then disconnect the bluetooth device and see if that returns everything back to normal 3. when you are calling or get called select the blackberry menu which is basically the blackberry icon on the keypad and go and find the option activate headset or something close to that which should activate the speaker on phone which you use for your ear.

I hope this helps,

Blackberry Pearl Sound

Assuming you have the audio volume turned up, do you have a bluetooth headset? Check the Bluetooth options to make sure there are no associated bluetooth devices (or just turn bluetooth off).

If that still doesn't work, try clicking the trackwheel and seeing if it says "Mute" or "Unmute" respectively.

If you still can't hear the callers voice, you may have a defective earpiece in the phone and it's time for repair. If you don't have a bluetooth headset, you can try to use one of those to hold a conversation. I have my bluetooth headset around my neck at all times, I can't stand talking without it. As an added bonus, people who can't see my earpiece in my ear thinks I'm talking to myself.
