1.Unplug the electrical cord of the Maytag electric dryer from the electrical outlet. 2.Open the dryer door and locate the four screws on the inside, unfastening the screws with a screwdriver. 3.Pull on the corners of the top front panel, rolling the corners forward to release the clips. 4.Tip the front panel straight out and slide it up until the panel comes loose of the clips. 5.Set the front panel aside and slide the top of the dryer forward. 6.Lift the top of the Maytag electric dryer up,tilting it back and resting it against the wall.
Take off the 4 phillips head screws around the door. the 2 sides will fold out, pull and the bottom panel will follow. after you have removed the panel you will have access to the frame. you will need to remove the top 2 5/16th screws. you will then lift the top panel and have a access to the top of the drum.
Remove the 2 screws holding the door and the 2 screws on the other side of the door opening . Pull the front panel foreward and lift off . If still not enough room to reach under to tighten , remove the 2 screws (1 on each side , holding the top down , then lift top . DISCONNECT POWER BEFORE DOING ANY WORK .
correct no repair guy neede unplug the unit so you dont get electrocuted happen to me once dont let it happen to you. remove the front panel than undo two screws at top of cabinet to release the top rotate the drum so the baffel you are replacing is at the 12 oclock position insert the baffel rub the screws thru the factory holes at top of unit if the holes are stripped dont be afraid to throw a washer in with the screw and dont over tighten because they will stripp out the plastic baffel . reasemble and your done takes about ten minutes
