Hello, you may want to try to use hp unistall tool, it will will remove the failed installs, but follow the instructions that come with or are on hp web site to un-install, and re-install, i had alot of problems with hp installs and unistalls, but since they put out these unistall programs, i have a lot easier time installing, and removing, since i need to test alot of machines.

Can't Scan with my HP 6210 All-in-One

Hi Kal,

I've included a procedure to get current drivers. But since your 6210 has been working, I thought we might try this first. The following link will bring you to a page describing an HP utility that specifically addresses your problem. Read through it and follow it's lead.

HP Scan Diagnostic Utility

For the correct 6210 drivers:

Click this link for for HP Software & Driver Downloads page.

Once there, select your Operating System (XP)

The next screen will offer several download options:

Under Drivers:
Select the appropriate driver for your application/situation.
Be mindful of the download sizes. One of them is pretty hefty and could take a while.

The first option should take care of your scan problem without all the reinstall turmoil. But, if it doesn't, option two will.

Any problems, let me know. We'll handle it.

Hope this helps

Mike
