How to change auto transmission fluid of ford everest

Just draining the fluid does not get the fluid out of the torque converter. Most service shops use a machine that replaces the fluid while the engine is running and uses the pump in the transmission to move clean fluid in while at the same time collects the old fluid. That is , by far, the best way to change ALL the fluid in the transmission

What kind of lubricant should I use in the transmission of a John Deere 165 Hydro?

I grew up with John Deere's and worked at a shop assembling Cub Cadet's way back when.

From all the threads I have read..that's an Eaton Transmission.

You can actually use a good SAE 30w motor oil in it. . some folks use a 5-20W or even Dex/Merc universal AT..but the general consensus is a decent 30W motor oil. Cheap and easy to find.

This is not an actual hydraulic motor, so any of these oils will work. Not to forget JD has HyGuard.. which is similar to the dex. Keep it simple and Stick to the SAE 30W..

Clean tranny off to prevent debris from entering the case.
Remove fill plug and Drain plug
Drain when warm
Replace drain plug
Remove vent plug
Fill until oil appears at vent hole
Rotate axle to remove trapped air
Check fill level
Replace vent plug and fill plug

GO go go
Mow mow mow

Best of luck

Where is this filler plug for an aoutomatic tranmisson

You have to pour the transmission fluid down the dipstick tube. You will need a funnel to put in the dipstick tube.

My car as i come to a stop it wants to not down shift automaticlly it'll **** and want to cut off until i tap the gas.My oil light wants to come on by then.I've replace the oil,oil filter,transmission...

If your transmission fluid or filter had any metal shaving or smelled "burnt" this would definately be a cause for the transmission from not shifting properly, also check to see that it is full and fill if necessary without overfilling which would ruin it quickly. Oil light coming on in old pontiacs and gm's is due to low oil pressure usually from a worn out oil pump or even a clogged screen on the oil pumps pick up tube. An old trick in transmissions was to take about an oz of dot3 brake fluid and add it to your transmission fluid to increase viscosity which helps slipping and minor seal leaks for a temporary fix. As to your vehicle wanting to stall out when you stop you may need a tune up or to advance the timing and increase your idle speed a little to correct that.

What fluids do we put underneath the truck clutch fluid? Or is there something else we need to know? This is after replacing the whole clutch. When the new cluth was put in fluid came out is that clutch...

The fluid used in the hydraulic clutch line is brake fluid.
The fluid used in the transmission can be either 10w30 oil......80w90 oil or automatic trans oil ....it depends on what transmission you have and what year you have.

Some transmissions are filled through the shifter opening.
Do not overfill it.....it will leak out on your new clutch.

Add transmission fluid

On 91 vehicles there's a 17mm allen screw on the side towards the left front wheel. Open it add the oil there on a level surface and fill till oil reaches the hole and starts coming out. DO NOT FILL OIL FROM THE TOP where what seems to be a plug. It's actually the timing marks and houses the clutch. Put oil there and you'll need a new clutch.

How do i check the transmission fluid

transmission fluid you can check easy way the gear box is one oil to be so you can see in the middle of the gear box filling plug remove that with spanner if you see oil coming from hole that is fine you don't put more just putted back and tight. if you don't see any oil just use your finger front part through if the front part of your finger touch the oil that is also fine means ok. but is the oil is very low from that place you must fill.
To get the level if you fill the oil you stop filling when you see oil is draining so you wait until oil stop clean the aria then you fixed back the filling plug or bolt tight.

that is my advice sorry any mistake of my tipping.

Is there another tool besides a hand pump that we can use to put transmission fluid in the fill plug?

use an old school oilcan...the type you fill with oil of your choice, and has a finger pump action (like a squirt bottle). you should be able to pick one up with a flexible spout at any reputable auto parts suppliers.
