My wt640 hotpoint washing machine wont spin and says f-05

thats a front loader
the user manual might have the error codes listed
think its a direct drive model
only part of that description suggests its the printed circuit board
are you using a surge protector at the wall power point

We had to use brute force, pliers and lots of wiggling back and fore. When we eventually got it out, about a pounds worth of small change and lots of gunk blocking the way.

Spin now working, f05 gone. Very happy as hotpoint wanted 95 pounds for a call out.

F05 measn some blockage, check and clean the filter at the front; remove the top cover of the machine,(power off) and disconnect the flexible hoses from the dispenser. Check if theyre blocked. The dispenser itself can be seperated - generally held together with plastic clips. Clean out any crud or hardened detergent.

Fabric conditioner is taken from the detergent tray by siphon action. Most likely flexible siphon pipe is blocked. Remove machine top, identify the pipe coming from the softener compartment, detach and clean.

Hi Error F5 means that the pressure switch is jammed on full. This may have happened due to blockage or obstruction in drain hose. To be sure check whether hose is plugged, if not then remove lower rear panel of the washer. Now you would be able to see drain pump and a large black hose on bottom of drum. Remove the hose from the pump; remember to keep a container near you to collect the water from the filter/pump. Remove and clean the drain filter connected with the pump and hose. Clean the pump and let it dry for a while. Now restart the washer after 2-5 minutes and your issue would be resolved. Please post back for further assistance. Hope this helps... Daniel

I have a hotpoint waschmachine wt640 since lastweek I have an error on the control panel F5 andnow it changes to F11 .The machine is just working for a few minutesand stop showing the error message F11 . please help

F-05 normally relates to the pressure switch,which normally points to a blockage.Does the machine empty slowly if so I would check the drain pipe first and if that is ok then you need to look down at the drain pump which may have a blockage in the filter which is inside the sump pipe,this is the main hose from the base of the drum and goes to the pump.

Remove rear access panel, and remove the drive belt.
Spin drum by hand, and if it feels rough or noisy, then the main drum bearings have failed, if no noise, then check motor for noise, if no noise, check the concrete wieghts are not loose, and that the dampers are not broken or worn.
