Question about Fujitsu fi-6130 Flatbed Scanner

Hi, my fujitsu fi-6130 hangs after a few scans. This happen once in a while where i have to kill all my application in order to work again. Any idea why this is happening?

Does the scanner have any error code displayed on its display? If so, what it it? What software are you using to run the scanner?

My fujitsue fi-6130 stopped automatically scanning both sides


You can try a 'hard reboot' of the unit by unplugging it while it is running, wait a minute or so and then restore the power.
With most electronics this forces a 'self-diagnostic' program which might fix the problem. Another option is to delete and them reinstall the software with a disc or online. Make certain that you have your machine set to automatically check for updates if it is connected to the Internet.

Hi,

Are the scan settings correctly specified for the scanning application software used? Check if interface cable are correctly connected.When the error occurs on ADF front, clean the glass inside of Base Unit. When the error occurs on ADF back, clean the glass of the Upper Unit.Check if any dirt get on the white reference sheet?

Also, check the mirror of the OPT Unit dirty, clean the mirrors.
Check the connector and check any cables are damaged,if so, then replace the damaged cables.

If the above doesn't help, then the issue may be due Optical unit or Control PCA problem. hence, you may have to seek the help of Fujitsu scanner technicians for rectification.

What happens when you try to download?Here's clues to what maybe happening:-
  • One cause maybe your PC's installed anti-virus.Disable it first before the download and then enable it after completion
  • The source of the download.Is it from the products support site or from other websites? Make sure the download's from a trusted source.
  • Try downloads from the Fujitsu support site.
  • Make sure you select the driver download that corresponds with your operating system.

My Fujitsu fi-6130 scanner randomly makes a clicking noise while scanning. it seems to working just fine but the clicking noise drives me nuts!. It doesn't happen constantly but it happens enough that I am...


If you have a scanner with the manufacturing date of 3/09 - 8/09, then yes, the clicking noise is more noticeable after it heats up. The problem resides in the glass mounting that was made in production in those months. The glass mounting raises up and if scanning thick paper or cards it will jam up. This must be sent back to fujitsu to replace the base assembly, because this is a defect that affected thousands of customers.

Hi,

Does the message shows after few pages scanning or is there any panel error message like J-1 on scanner start up?

If the issue occurs during scanner start up, then there are staple pins or dirt might be stuck inside the US Sensor panel inside the scanner. Cleaning and removing the objects will resolve the issue.

If the error occurs after few pages scanning, then you may have to check the Pick Roller, Brake Roller, Pinch Roller and US Sensor FX status. you may have to replace any of the above, if damaged or worn off.

Fi-6130 not grabbing paper, displays Code: DS32002


My scanner is Fujitsu M4097D. I just have problem with ADF: Error Code DS32002: Paper jam in the ADF. Here is my solution: 1. Bend two white platin pieces down a little bit in order to "sensor" the paper scanned. This problem is occurred after I am scanning 50 thick pages. Until paper count 42, it is stopped with error code DS32002. Hope help anybody having this problem.

6130 will scan first time I press, but will not on second; must turn off and start again


Open the front cover and make sure the feed switch actuator swings freely.
