Question about SVP Acqua DC-1231 Digital Camera

1 Answer

We have a SVP DC-1231 digital camera (with waterproof case) that we tried to use while snorkeling. We have an 8GB SDHC memory card in it, but after only taking 6 pictures it says the memory is full. It must only be accessing whatever internal memory is available. I have tried, but I can't figure out how to set it to save to the memory card. Can you help? Thanks!

Usually, you must get rid of the pics in the internal memory in order for the card to work. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, your card should work.

I tried what you suggested, but it still doesn't record to the SD card. I even tried a different SD card to see if the card I was using was bad. Any other ideas?

Sometimes, you also have to format the card in the camera. This will erase it so download any pics that might be on it first.

New information....your camera only accepts SD card up to 2GB. That has to be what's causing the problem.

Samsung s1030 digital camera keep showing memory full but have inserted new sdhc card how do i clear this as i cannot take any pics

Clear it by putting in a compatible memory card. The S1030 works with SD cards. Your 8GB SDHC card in not compatible. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

Every time I try to format card it says Protected card.

SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

Gateway digital camera DC-T50 5.25 megapixels put new memory card and a card error message appears

The camera uses SD cards. I assume your new card is 8GB, not 8MB as you stated. If this is the case, it's an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible and will not work in the SD-only camera. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.
You may download a copy of the manual here.

When useing under water the shutter was so slow, when frameing a shot of a fish. By the time the shutter operated the fish was gone. can we lock the focus so it takes the picture quicker.

By pressing the shutter button half-way until the camera "beeps", you lock in the focus. However, underwater in a waterproof housing, I'm not sure you can hear the beep.

Should you use an 8gb sd memory card in a panasonic lumix dmc-fx3 camera ?

Hi,

The manual lists the following SD cards compatible:

4 GB SDHC Memory Card
2 GB SD Memory Card
1 GB SD Memory Card
512 MB SD Memory Card
256 MB SD Memory Card
128 MB SD Memory Card
64 MB SD Memory Card

An 8GB card may or may not work. If you try it, make sure it is an SDHC card. (Note: HC=High Capacity)

Thanks for using Fixya.
