Question about Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker
I have a new Keurig B40 that I used for two weeks. It now has all the LED lights flashing at the same time and does not brew any coffee. I have not been successful in "resetting" the brewer. Any help would be much appreciated.
Just got my fixed from tech support... the following is the procedure that works:
1. Hit auto off and small cup at the same time and release hit small cup three times, when it works the only light showing will be the descale light....
2. hit small cup then auto off, then release small cup and then auto off, when this works lights on will be the power button light and the descale light.....
ALL OF THE ABOVE DURING THE PROCEDURE MUST BEEN DONE FAST OR RAPIDLY....
3. With both of the above lights on unplug for about 3 to 5 seconds... and then the brewer comes to life.. and WORKS
I am now drinking a great coffee brew and enjoying it... This does work, but you have to push the buttons in the sequence I have listed and FAST!!!!!!

I had the same problem w/ mine- just received it a couple days ago. I e-mailed Customer Service thru Keurig.com and they e-mailed me back to call their Service Dept between 7AM-12 Midnight EST and to make sure I had the serial # (located either underneath the base or behind the drip tray-just pull it out) when I called.
I tried the troubleshooting sequences mentioned above before calling and it didn't work. Still had all lights flashing.
Hold down the small cup and auto off at the same time and release. Do this in one quick motion.
Next, hold down the small cup then auto off and release small cup, then release auto off buttons. As mentioned in a previous reply, this has to be done FAST.
If the reset is successful, only the power light (solid green) and the Descale (blinking) should light up. It took me 3 tries to get it right, so be patient.
Unplug for 3-5 seconds and then plug back in. Power light, Heating, and Descale should be lit.
Make sure you have water in the reservoir and an empty cup to proceed w/ Descale/ Setup instructions that were included in the manual. They will talk you thru it if you don't have it handy. The Heating takes a few minutes, but you'll know if it's happening because it makes some noise.
She assured me that this would be a one-time-thing when I asked her if I wrote all of the steps out correctly.
If this doesn't help, the Customer Service # is 1-866-901-2739.

Try quickly pressing (at same time) small cup button & the auto off and then you must immediately press the small cup button three times. We had to do this combination very fast.
1) together & fast: small cup button & auto off button
2) immediately press small cup button three time fast

I just had this happen this morning, I tried all the above mentioned programming nothing worked...I was avoding haveing to call customer support so I just started pushing buttons.
I held down all three buttons together and the lights went out.
I unpluged the machince pluged it back in just to make sure it didn't start again, and then made a cup of coffee. :)

I randomly pushed all the buttons on the top numerous times. Finally after several minutes of pressing something evidently reset and it started working.
Numerous= very fast and radomly, I guess I accidently hit the right sequence.

I wrote it down from what i remembered after talking to a tech rep..hit small cup button and auto off button same time then let up and hit small cup button 3 times. all this has to be done fast. then hit small cup button and auto off button again together then let up and hit small cup button just after that and only hit one time. then unplug wait a few seconds then plug back up. all lights will be off then hit power button. descale light will be lite then hit small cup button and heating light will light up, it takes a couple of minutes for water to pump from reserves to heat up and then water will come out in cup and then its primed. And i'm pretty sure thats the way it went.

I could not get any of the methods above to work. I got fustrated and pressed both the small cup and auto/off buttons simultaneously, about 4 or 5 or 6 times in a row, very quickly, in response to my extreme fustration and anger (who would design something like this? where is the reset button??)... Until I noticed all 5 LEDs were on but dim (they are blinking very quickly, making them appear dim). Then, I stopped, realizing this is 1/2 the battle. Now, I either pressed small cup then auto off, or just small cup. Cannot remember. Try something. The first time I had the dimmed LEDs, I did not hit the right sequence. But was able to get the dimmed LEDs a second time, and figured out what to press once you got the dimmed LEDs. Anyway, I basically tried solution #2, and mixed in Solution #2 above, and got it to work. It was Sautrday morning, and I was not going to be able to talk to a service tech during their hours, since I am at work during those times. I wanted my coffee NOW! GEEZ.
Hey, thank you, people here at FixYa. This was great. Thank you for making this website.

A modified version of solution 6 worked for me. I did not do it very fast. I suspect that doing solution 2 very fast results in something very similar to solution 6 (at least for the processor, which can only sense the buttons every x ms):
1. Hit auto off and small cup at the same time and release hit small cup three times. Contrary to solution 6, the only light OFF was descale then. I didn't do that extremely fast. Probably took 2 seconds in total. Was reproducible. Did it at least 5 times.
2. Hit small cup then auto off, then release small cup and then auto off. When this works lights on will be the power button light and the descale light.
What crazy mind would design a machine like this? Probably some brain dead engineer somewhere in China, and Keurig is dumb enough to buy their ****. Will never buy a Keurig again.
