Cartridge stuck on the left. Tried methods in manual and failed. Both lights flashing together. The cartridge always travels to the left and stays there

Usually that means the service station drive motor is broken. Its a stepping motor, not a simple dc motor and unfortunately that means the printer needs to be replaced. replacements for that motor cannot be ordered. You need to salvage that motor from another printer.

PLAYS CD BUT NOT DVD

hi,
first of all check the spindle motor of ur dvd mechanism. if its winding or the brush short this problem can occur. when u insert a CD it rotates in a slow rpm, but DVD needs a high rpm. if the motor is short it will not rotate in high rpm, and will not read the dvd. normally there will be two types of motor uses as spindle motor. one is dc motor with two wire and the next one is servo motor with five or more connection.
the above mentioned problem will occur only in dc motor with two wire.
Also one another problem is the laser pick up unit. first check the motor, if it has no problem the go fo the laser pick up unit.
ok

Error code 000051

From service manual E051-0000 At start-up, home position is not detected when the horizontal registration assembly is moved 100 mm in the direction of home position.
Main cause The horizontal home position sensor is faulty. The horizontal registration motor is faulty. The DC controller PCB is faulty.
Action
1. Connector
Are the connectors of the horizontal registration home position sensor and the horizontal registration motor connected?
a. DC controller PCB (J304) <-> relay connector <-> horizontal registration home position sensor
b. DC controller PCB (J304) <-> relay connector <-> horizontal registration motor
NO: Connect the connectors.
2. Sensor lever (damage and interference), Sensor
Is abnormal noise heard from the horizontal registration assembly in keeping with the motor rotation?
YES: a. The horizontal registration assembly is out of place because of
damage to the sensor lever. Replace the sensor lever.
b. The horizontal registration assembly malfunctions because of the
presence of foreign matter. Remove the foreign matter.
c. The sensor is faulty and cannot detect home position. Replace the
sensor.
3. Horizontal registration motor, DC controller PCB
Is the horizontal registration motor control signal generated by the DC controller PCB?
J304-1/2: 24 V, J304-3/4/5/6: motor excitation signal
YES: The horizontal registration motor is faulty. Replace the motor.
NO: Replace the DC controller PCB. Usually E 051 is the horizonal motor problem, you can take out the pick up ***'y. On the motor have a small gear, sometime this gear broken.
Or the horizontal reg motor became stuck in the wrong position. I was able to manually move it back and rebooted copier. Not sure why the motor was in the wrong position-cust related?

Getting service code 914 on a IBM infoprint 1145

Service code 914 does not exist. If you meant 941, that is a tray 1 lift motor issue.

HP LASERJET 4 PRINTER

57 (or 57.1) SERVICE Message (Main Motor
Failure)
The 57 SERVICE indicates that the DC Controller PCA detected a
general motor failure. The Main Motor drives all moving
components in the printing process. The Main Motor is a 4-phase,
DC servo motor controlled by the DC Controller PCA.
The formatter detects a Main Motor failure when:
• The Main Motor does not come up to speed within one second
of receiving drive voltage.
• The Main Motor deviates from the correct speed for one second
after reaching the correct speed.
Main Motor Functional Checks
• Inspect the gear train for debris that would block the free
operation of the gears.
• Check the gears in the Toner Cartridge for wear and binding.
• Reseat J211 (or J214 on the HP LaserJet 4 Plus/4M Plus) on
the DC Controller PCA, and the main connector on the Main
Motor Assembly. Refer to Figures 7-16 and 7-17 for the DC
Controller PCA connector locations.
• If the problem persists, check that the +24B Voltage is present
on the DC Controller. If the voltage is not present, replace the
DC Controller. If the voltage is present, and the motor does
not rotate, replace the Main Motor Assembly

IBM 1352

DC Pick motor error: No Encoder feedback. Try to remove all paper from tray 1 and replace it.

It basically means there is a tray1 paper feed problem.
