SOURCE: Soltek SL-75FRN2-L how to connect power button..

Front panel connector in bottom right corner, if you look very closely you can see the connector info written into the motherboard in white.

If its too small you need to get the manual for your motherboard to see the connections.

SOURCE: audio problem

Hi reynaldo_sos,

I'm not real sure that your problem is the motherboard. Have you checked to make sure that mute isn't on, and looked inside sound icon in your control panel to make sure that windows recongizes the sound card? If not, I'd check the easy stuff first. And if that doesn't work, you can find the drivers for that sound card HERE! Make sure that's the same version that you want.

Good Luck,

Mark

SOURCE: MS-7142 motherboard:connecting jusb1 and jusb2 from panel of emachine

I have had some pretty good luck using MSI motherboards.

If you follow this link, you will be able to download your drivers and owner's manual for your motherboard.

You'll find a picture in the manual with instructions for those front USB ports.

good luck

Connecting the power swtch cables and others

I understand from this post that you need to connect the mobo to your casing/chassis.

There is a detailed diagram that can be found on the owner's manual that ships with your board. In case you do not have this, you can find one from this site:

Hope this helps.

Tower top mounted USB portss

The cables from the front panel USB connectors have a key in them that will line up with the missing pin on the board's USB headers. Just line up the connectors and plug them onto the board. It doesn't matter if you use USB1 on the board for the plug marked USB1.

Abit Kg7-Lite motherboard USB2 pin Locations desperately needed!

Lay case down with the bottom in front of you. Looking straight down at the row nearest the case bottom reading right to left there will be two rows of four pins.

Reading right to left the row closets to the case bottom the first lead is vcc1, next usb1-, next usb1+ and grnd1.

Top row reading right to left is vcc2, next usb2-, next usb2+ and grnd2.

I just replaced bad caps on my kg7 and had to remove the motherboard for the repair so I just reinstalled my front case usb ports.

Help this helps.

You could try searching for the manual for the motherboard, I have the same problem every time I disconnect a motherboard.

Sometimes it is printed on the motherboard in dead small writing which wire goes where.

Also usually motherboard manufacturers follow the "unofficial" standard io connectors.

+PLED -PLED +PSW -PSW NC NC NC NC
+HDD -HDD -RST +RST +SPK NC NC -SPK

Key:

PLED = Power LED/Message LED
HDD = Hard Drive LED
RST = Reset Switch
PSW = Power Switch
SPK = Speaker
NC = Not connected (sometimes not even there)

Note quite often the Reset switch is the reverse of everything else! (i.e. on most if the + is on the right the + is on the left for the Reset

The USB ones usually always follow the following standard

VCC -DATA +DATA GND NC (USB1)
VCC -DATA +DATA GND NC (USB2)

And usually one of the NC pins is no pin as some USB cables have that pin blanked out to ensure you connect them the right way. Note also with USB you start with the VCC then you go straight to negative data, then positive, then ground (again the - and + data bits, like the reset are in reverse of normal reading - the are right to left, not left to right!)

Finally if your not sure which cable is + and which is - the - ones are normally either black or white (most of them are white, except the speaker ones which are black - I presume that goes back to the colour scheme of red and black for positive and negative in audio equipment) and the + ones are normally some colour.
