To access the fuse, remove the outer cabinet shell.
Follow the incoming power wire to the fuse block.
If you have any light or display at all working the fuse is OK.

Lg micro wave turns on but doesn't heat

A word of caution.......if you are familiar with microwave ovens, you know how to discharge the big capacitor in the seconday-circuit, and what can happen if you don`t! BE CAREFULL!

If your microwave oven runs normally, but won`t heat, suspect a primary-circuit fuse. Always replace with a fuse of the same voltage and amp rating. Also, check all electrical connections. Again, be sure to discharge the big capacitor so as to avoid dangerous shock.

Another common problem and simple check is the power diode. Simply check for continuity. If you get continuity in both directions with a volt-ohm meter, replace the power-diode.

If you have the proper meter, check the secondary-circuit capacitor. The capacitor can be a little pricey if it is bad.

If that doesn`t do it, the problem is likely the primary-secondary transformer. Unfortunately, the cost of the replacement part is probably more expensive than buying a new microwave oven.

Test main fuse inside on the floor near where the power cord enters. There is power in the wall ... right? No substitutes on the fuse.

My SCA 1000 completely shut down and won't come back on

There is probably an internal slow-blow fuse, they will electrically fatigue over time.It will require the cover to be removed to replace it,look for an inline fuse holder on the hot lead where the power cord enters the housing.

see this steps and fix it. God bless you
No Lights or Power, Unit seems Dead First check is the main fuse of the unit. On countertop units, you will need to take the shell off. The fuse will be close to where the cord comes through into the unit. OTR units, this main fuse is usually behind the control panel or possibly behind the vent. Usually the fuse is obvious if blown, otherwise test with an OHM meter, if open, replace fuse.
Some brands will also have a thermal cut-off fuse in the incoming voltage line to the control board. Older Maytags and Samsungs have this fuse in it. This thermostat looking fuse is usually above the oven cavity somewhere under the outside shell. Sometimes you can get to it through the vent of OTR models. Test with an OHM meter, replace if open.

Hotpoint rvm1625sj01 no power

Hello

Plug the microwave into the outlet if the microwave won't power up. Make sure the plugs on the microwave match the type of outlet. A four-pronged outlet can only be used with a four-pronged plug. Same with three-pronged outlets---they only work with three-pronged plugs.

Inspect the plug. Make sure it hasn't been cut or tampered with. Four-pronged plugs can't be cut down to fit a three-pronged outlet. Three-pronged plugs mustn't be forced into four-pronged outlets. A three-pronged plug mustn't be used in a two-pronged outlet, either.

Replace blown fuses, or if there's a circuit breaker, check it for tripped breakers. Sometimes the trip won't be obvious, so cycle the circuit breakers. Turn them all the way off and then back on again.

Plug another appliance in the outlet. You will find this easier with three-pronged appliances. Simply plug a toaster, or other appliance into the microwave's outlet, and see if it works. If it works, you know the problem is with the microwave, not the power circuit. Have the microwave serviced or replace it. If the toaster or other appliance doesn't turn on, you know the problem is with the circuit.

I have a built-in AEG Microwave code MC166(0E?) My son unfortunately used the microwave as a timer so it was on for 30mins without anything in it. It now won't turn "on"; no light/clock...

What fuse did you change? The fuse on the wiring that leads to the microwave needs to be intact, then the fuse in the Microwave itself needs to be checked. Usually there is a plug where the microwave is plugged in, in the cabinet above the microwave, you can take another small appliance or a power tester to make sure power is available in the outlet where the microwave is plugged in. If the power is on at the outlet then you'll know that it is the microwave itself that has turned itself off for some reason. You can get manuals for these ovens at this website
